Abstract:
A mixer (10) for preparing a dental material comprises a mixing barrel (17) and a mixing rotor (16), a mixer inlet (13, 14), and an outlet (15). The mixing rotor is rotatable about a rotation axis (A), and comprises four mixing paddle levels (21, 22, 23, 24) each comprising at least one mixing paddle. The mixing paddle levels are axially disposed over a portion of the mixing rotor with the paddle levels being axially spaced at a generally uniform paddle spacing. The mixing paddles further have a thickness in the dimension parallel to the rotation axis, and the ratio between the paddle spacing and the paddle thickness is at least 2:1, thereby maximizing the mixing efficiency, and minimizing energy consumption.
Abstract:
A system for dispensing a dental material comprises a cartridge from which the dental material is extrudable. The cartridge comprises a operating means and an interface for transmitting a cartridge output based on a user input. The system further has a dental dispensing device having a receptacle for receiving the cartridge and an interface for receiving the cartridge output. The system helps maximizing reliability and maximizing safety in operation for dispensing dental material.
Abstract:
A mixer (10) for mixing components to form a dental material comprises a mixing rotor (16), first, second and third input connectors (21, 22, 23). Each of the first, second and third input connectors (21, 22, 23) are adapted to form part of a plug-and- socket connection and are further adapted for plugging in a plugging direction to establish the plug-and- socket connection. The mixer further comprises a guiding structure (19) which is adapted to provide a guiding of the mixer (10) along the plugging direction for establishing at least one of the plug-and- socket connections. The invention may help facilitating a placement of the mixer to a dental material dispensing device.
Abstract:
A dispensing device for dental material. The device comprises at least two plungers for extruding dental material from a container. Further the device has a planetary gear drive (10) for moving the plungers and the container relative to each other. The planetary gear drive has at least three planet gears which are in engagement with an annulus gear and wherein the annulus gear is radial float -mounted relative to the planet gears. The device may be relatively robust in operation and may help minimizing costs in the manufacturing of the device.
Abstract:
A dental irradiation device comprises a first light emitting unit for emitting blue light adapted for light hardening of a dental material. The device further comprises a second light emitting unit and an image sensing unit which are adapted for cooperation with each other for simultaneous illumination and image capturing. The device facilitates hardening of dental materials and provides, inter alia, additional diagnostic functions.
