The invention concerns a method and system in the maintenance of machines, processes, automation systems and equipment relating to papermaking. The machine relating to papermaking is located at a production plant (100), which is equipped with a plant data system (155), and wherein a teleservice connection (189) based on a data communication link is arranged between the production plant (100) and a teleservice center (200). The condition, state and/or performance of the machine units and/or processes and/or automation systems of the production line at the production plant are monitored by monitoring system's, such as condition monitoring systems (130) and/or performance measuring systems (140) and/or quality assessment systems (150) and diagnostic units (110), in order to recognise emergency situations. In the method according to the invention an automatic service process is started in an emergency situation based on the signals given by the monitoring systems. The system according to the invention comprises means for bringing about the automatic service process.

The invention relates to method for handling empty winding shafts delivered to a fibrous web winder, in which method machine rolls produced on a winder are handled in one or more process stages following the winder and the winding shafts thus emptied are transferred back to the winder. In the method, an empty winding shaft (2) is delivered to the winder (1) to a position preceding the winding roll (4) of the winder in the process order by a lateral transfer movement.

The invention relates to a method and arrangement for adjusting a nip force (Fn) between a winding cylinder (203) and a machine roll (204) in a winder unit, wherein the winding cylinder is adapted to be movable in an adjustment direction, which is perpendicular to the winding cylinder's shaft and diverges from a horizontal direction. The winder unit includes a force generating unit (205) for pressing the winding cylinder in the adjustment direction against the machine roll. The arrangement according to the invention comprises a load cell assembly (206), which is adapted to determine a horizontal component force acting on the winding cylinder, and an adjustment unit (208), which is adapted to regulate the strength of a force produced by the force generating unit on the basis of the determined horizontal component force. The adjustment of nip force is not substantially hampered by gravity, because the nip force is adjusted on the basis of such a component force which is substantially perpendicular to gravity.

The invention relates to a method in reeling a paper or board web, in which method the web (W) is reeled around a reeling shaft (21; 24) to a web roll (22; 20) by means of a reeling nip between a reeling cylinder (10) and the forming web roll (22, 20), which reeling takes place in a primary stage in a primary position and in a secondary stage in a secondary position. In the method, the reeling cylinder (10) is transferred substantially in the direction corresponding the principal incoming direction (SlO) of the web coming to the reeling cylinder and the forming web roll (20, 22) is transferred from the primary stage to the secondary stage in a substantially horizontal movement. The invention also relates to a method in which the paper or board web is reeled by means of a large-diameter reeling cylinder (10), the proportion of the diameter of which reeling cylinder (10) to the width of the web being reeled is defined such that for the operational area is chosen an area above the curve defined by equation y=- 0,0009x3 + 0,025x2 - 0,2567x + 1,0903 in which y = diameter of reeling cylinder/width of web being reeled and x = width of web being reeled . Furthermore, the invention relates to a reel-up for reeling a paper or board web into a web roll, which comprises means for transferring the reeling cylinder (10) in a direction (SlO) substantially corresponding the principal incoming direction of the web (W) coming to the reeling cylinder (10) and means for reeling the web roll in the primary position and means for reeling the web roll in the secondary position, which are arranged so that the movement of the forming web roll (22) from the primary position to the secondary position is substantially straight in the horizontal direction. The invention also relates to a reel-up in which the proportion of the diameter of the reeling cylinder (10) to the width of the web being reeled is defined such that the operational area is of equation y=- 0,0009x3 + 0,025x2 - 0,2567x + 1,0903.

A method and an apparatus for controlling the cross-directional nip profile of a reeling nip in a reeler, in which the reeling nip (N1) is arranged by means of a reeling core or a growing machine reel (R) and at least one loop of an endless supporting member (1) continuous in the direction of the axis of the reeling core (5). To control the cross-directional nip profile of the reeling nip (N1), variables proportional to the tension of the supporting member are measured, cross-directional tension profile of the supporting member (1) is determined on the basis of said variables, and further, a cross-directional nip profile of the reeling nip is determined, said nip profile being controlled by adjusting the determined cross-directional tension profile of the supporting member (1).

In a reel change in the reeling process of a fiber material web, the fiber material web (W) running to a reel that is becoming full is changed to run around a new reeling core (2) brought to a reel change position in such a way that the web is made to adhere onto the surface of the new reeling core (2). The web (W) is made to adhere onto the surface of the reeling core (2) by means of a change in the properties of the material on the surface of the reeling core (2). The material is a combination of an adhesive area (6a) on the surface of the reeling core and a protective layer (6b) on top of the adhesive area, and the properties of the material are changed by removing the protective layer (6b).

A device for cutting a fibrous web by a pressurized medium, comprising: - a beam that is arranged essentially transversally to the direction of travel of the fibrous web; - a carriage that is adapted to move, to which a nozzle for cutting the fibrous web is attached; - a line (4) for conveying the pressurized medium to the nozzle the first end of the line (4) being adapted to be connected to a pressure feed and the second end of the line (4) being adapted to move in connection with the carriage. The device is characterised in further comprising a guide trough (13) for forming the guide of the line (4), that the line (4) is adapted to move in the guide trough as an essentially U-shape loop, when the distance between the first end and the second end changes according to the position of the carriage, and that the movement of the line is arranged to be provided by the movement of the carriage fitted in a linear module.
