Abstract:
A method for measuring a nip pressure and/or a pressure profile, wherein a nip-forming roll is fitted with a pressure sensor under a coating layer which is protective and functions as a spring on top of the sensor, and the nip pressure delivers to the bottom surface of the coating a deformation proportional to the nip pressure and the deformation compresses the sensor, which responds to the deformation by generating an electric signal.
Abstract:
In a reeling process a paper web is continuously reeled into reels around rotating reeling cores in such a manner that the web (W) is guided into a reel (R) around a reeling core (5) through a reeling nip between a loop of an endless supporting member (1) and the reel (R), at least in some stage the reeling core (5) is transferred in relation to the loop of the supporting member (1) according to the growth of the diameter of the reel (R) in such a manner that the position of said reeling nip (N) moves forward on the web-carrying portion of the endless supporting member (1) in the travel direction of said portion. The wrap angle (α) of the web (W) at the location of the first guiding roll (2) of the loop of the endless supporting member (1) and at the same time the web tension of the web at the location of the first guiding roll (2) is controlled by means of a web guiding roll (8) preceding the loop in the travel direction of the web (W).
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method in the splicing of a fibrous web, in particular a paper or board web in a continuous unwind, in which a new machine reel (13) brought to the unwind is connected at full speed with a web (W) of an expiring machine reel (10) by means of a splicing device. The web (W) of the expiring machine reel (10) is pressed by means of a paster roll (12) of the splicing device to a splice placed on the new machine reel (13). In the method, the paster roll (12) is moved during a sequence by means of an actuator (16) whose position is measured by means of a position sensor (18) and whose force is measured by means of a force sensor (17). Based on information obtained from the sensors (17, 18), at least one parameter, i.e. force and/or position and/or speed and/or acceleration, of the splicing stroke and/or the return stroke of the sequence of the paster roll (12) is regulated. The invention also relates to a device in the splicing of a fibrous web, in particular a paper or board web in a continuous unwind. The device includes a paster roll (12) and a web guide roll (11) as well as a frame structure (30). The paster roll (12) is connected by means of an actuator (16) to the frame structure (30). A force sensor (17) and a position sensor (18) for measuring parameters of the splicing stroke and/or the return stroke of a splicing sequence and a regulation and control system for controlling the actuator (16) accomplishing the splicing stroke and/or the return stroke of the splicing sequence based on measurement results given by the sensors (17, 18) are arranged in connection with the paster roll (12).
Abstract:
A device for cutting a fibrous web by a pressurized medium, comprising: - a beam that is arranged essentially transversally to the direction of travel of the fibrous web; - a carriage that is adapted to move, to which a nozzle for cutting the fibrous web is attached; - a line (4) for conveying the pressurized medium to the nozzle the first end of the line (4) being adapted to be connected to a pressure feed and the second end of the line (4) being adapted to move in connection with the carriage. The device is characterised in further comprising a guide trough (13) for forming the guide of the line (4), that the line (4) is adapted to move in the guide trough as an essentially U-shape loop, when the distance between the first end and the second end changes according to the position of the carriage, and that the movement of the line is arranged to be provided by the movement of the carriage fitted in a linear module.
