Abstract:
Disclosed are methods for designing and employing a portable device for effecting a desired environment proximate to the device (including carrying out such methods under business arrangements encompassing two or more business entities). The effected environment includes, in part, temporary increases in the amount of water vapor as the device emits water vapor over some time duration, typically from about 1 or 2 minutes or so to about 15 to 30 minutes or so. Heat from a chemical heating engine is employed to drive off the water vapor. The device may also emit one or more ingredients adapted to be detected by olfaction. The device may be used to help address symptoms of various ailments, e.g., cold, flu, allergies, sinusitis, and the like. Also, the device may be employed to help promote a desired emotive state for the user of the device. The device promotes one or more desired states through auditory, tactile, visual, and/or olfactory signals. Furthermore, the device may be used to open pores in skin; or to treat skin or tissue.

Abstract:
Embodiments of the invention include methods, apparatus and articles of manufacture for generating and using virtual reality simulations to conduct market research and related activities, where the virtual reality simulations include personalized aspects of a participant's environment, such as simulations of a virtual home derived from the participant's physical home. In this way, aspects of product design such as product storage and product use can be simulated.
Abstract:
A respirator adapted to facilitate ease of donning and comfort during use comprising one or more of an adjustable or elastic strap that facilitates ease of donning and comfort during wear; and/or exhalation vents that direct exhaled air, at least in part, away from a users eye's; and/or fasteners that are easy to use and that facilitate ease of donning and comfort during wear; and/or respirator shapes that facilitate the wearing of eyeglasses with said respirator; and/or bellows-type, pneumatic, or other such components, associated with said respirator, that are adapted to promote adjustability of the fit of the respirator.
Abstract:
A dispenser is provided which is adapted for dispensing from a table top and it is convertible to dispensing from a conventional rolled product fixture. The dispenser includes a housing having a compartment configured to hold sheets. The housing also has a dispensing opening. The housing is configured to be positioned on a table top for dispensing sheets therefrom, and the housing includes a sling which permits the housing to be coupled to a conventional rolled product fixture. The sling is masked when the dispenser is positioned for dispensing from a table top. The sling is readily releasable to permit the housing to be coupled to a fixture in a bathroom.

Abstract:
A respirator (10) adapted to facilitate ease of donning and comfort during use comprising one or more of an adjustable or elastic strap (2) that facilitates ease of donning and comfort during wear; and/or fasteners (4, 8) that are easy to use and that facilitate ease of donning and comfort during wear; and/or respirator shapes that facilitate the wearing of eyeglasses with said respirator; and/or bellows-type, pneumatic, or other such components, associated with said respirator, that are adapted to promote adjustability of the fit of the respirator.
Abstract:
A portable carrying case (10) for personal care absorbent articles (12), particularly feminine hygiene care products, includes a body (14) defining an internal enclosure (24) for receipt of a plurality of the stacked personal care absorbent articles. An opening (26) is defined in the body (14) at a location so as to expose an upper one of the absorbent articles (12) for dispensing without generally exposing underlying absorbent articles. A lid (28) is movably disposed relative to body (14) from a closed position to an open position wherein access is provided to the absorbent articles through the opening (26). The push structure (30) allows a user to push on the bottommost one of the stacked absorbent articles (12) so as to move the uppermost one of the stack of articles towards the opening (26) for grasping and retrieval by the user. A biasing element (54) may bias the articles towards the push structure (30).
