摘要: Processes and systems for quenching an effluent. In certain embodiments, the process can include contacting a pyrolysis effluent and a first quench medium to produce a first quenched effluent. A bottoms stream that can include tar and an overhead stream that can include ethylene and propylene can be obtained from the first quenched effluent. The first quench medium can include a first portion of the bottoms stream that can include a first portion of the tar. In certain embodiments, the process can also include hydroprocessing a second portion of the bottoms stream that can include a second portion of the tar to produce a hydroprocessed product. A hydroprocessed bottoms stream can be obtained from the hydroprocessed product. In certain embodiments, the process can also include contacting at least a portion of the hydroprocessed bottoms stream and the first portion of the bottoms stream to produce the first quench medium.

摘要: A process for producing ethylene oxide from ethane can include: introducing ethane and oxygen into an oxidative dehydration reactor to produce an intermediate product stream comprising ethylene, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, water, oxygen, and ethane; introducing the intermediate product stream, methane, and oxygen into an ethylene oxide reactor to produce a product stream comprising ethylene oxide, ethylene, carbon dioxide, water, oxygen, methane, and acetic acid; separating the product stream into a first separation stream comprising ethylene oxide and water, a second separation stream comprising acetic acid, and a third separation stream comprising carbon dioxide, ethylene, oxygen, and methane; separating the third separation stream into a carbon dioxide stream comprising carbon dioxide and a recycle stream comprising oxygen, ethylene, and methane; and recycling the recycle stream back to either the oxidative dehydration reactor or the intermediate product stream.

摘要: A process including contacting one or more monomers, at least one catalyst system, and at least two condensing agents under polymerizable conditions to produce a polyolefin polymer is provided where the vapor pressure of the condensing agents is ±4 bara of the optimum vapor pressure given by the formula: optimum vapor pressure = 614 - 716*D + 2.338*P + 3.603*ln(MI), where the optimum vapor pressure has units (bara), D is the polyolefin polymer density with units (g/cc), P is the polymerization condition pressure with units (barg), and MI is the polyolefin polymer melt index with units (g/lOmin). The invention also relates to a process where at least three condensing agents are used.

All components are integrated to achieve a high-purity cyclohexylbenzene product produced with a high yield and high overall energy efficiency.

摘要: In a process for producing cyclohexylbenzene, hydrogen, and benzene are contacted in a first reaction zone under conditions effective to produce a product effluent containing residual benzene in the vapor phase and cyclohexylbenzene in the liquid phase. The product effluent is separated into a first stream that is rich in residual benzene in the vapor phase as compared to the product effluent and a second stream that is rich in cyclohexylbenzene in the liquid phase as compared to the product effluent. At least a portion of the first stream is cooled to condense at least a portion of the residual benzene in the vapor phase to the liquid phase and produce a condensate stream. At least a portion of the condensate stream is recycled to the first reaction zone.

摘要: In a process for purifying a hydrogen stream, the stream is contacted with a first washing fluid in a first purification zone under conditions effective to transfer at least some water from the hydrogen stream to the first washing fluid, thereby transforming the hydrogen stream into a water-depleted hydrogen stream. At least a portion of the water-depleted hydrogen stream may then be transferred from the first purification zone to a second purification zone, where it is contacted with a second washing fluid under conditions effective to transfer at least some oxygenates from the water-depleted hydrogen stream to the second washing fluid.
