Abstract:
Methods and systems for physically separating helper embryos from desired embryos in a group culturing technique in order to maintain the pedigree and genetic information of the desired embryos from different species, including cattle and human, and to provide the developmental benefits of group culturing. The separation of the groups of embryos can be the result of embedding one group of embryos in a gel or solid, or the groups can be physically separated by a membrane or other structure.
Abstract:
A method of liquid nitrogen surface vitrification requiring an embryo washed in a rinsing medium, then incubated in a base medium and incubated in a hold medium before being washed in a vitrification medium and produced into a vitrification droplet (270). For forming the droplet, vitrification medium (210), an intermediary fluid such as air, followed by vitrification medium containing at least one embryo (250) are aspirated into the channel. The vitrification droplet consequently can contain an air bubble (220). The vitrification droplet can be produced from an instrument with a channel and dropped directly into liquid phase nitrogen producing a vitrified droplet. The vitrified droplet can be stored in cryo-vessels, and warmed for revitalization of biological function of vitrified biological cell mass or tissues, such as oocytes and/or embryos.

Abstract:
Scheme for use in testing software for computer entertainment systems (102) allows the operations that are entered by the user into the system's manual controller (or "game pad") (104) to be recorded. A test version of a software title includes code that initializes a library that is configured to record controller data for testing purposes (204). The controller data from the manual controller is received (206) in a host and is then stored (208). The captured controller data can then be used to reproduce the bug or other flaw. The library may also be configured to retrieve controller data from storage (406) for testing purposes to implement a playback function. The retrieved controller data is sent to an operating system for the entertainment system (408) to emulate controller input data when running the game or other software.
Abstract:
A suspension and transmission device for use with an elevator system comprises one or more strips that provide load carrying, transmission or traction, and load carrying redundancy or safety functions for the elevator system. In one version a single strip comprised of polymer and composite materials provides these functions. In another version multiple strips comprised of polymer and composite materials provide these functions. In another version, a strip comprises a hollow interior portion. In another version one or more strips incorporate materials that can be detected when using the strip to monitor the condition of the one or more strips.
Abstract:
One embodiment can include a heat exchange system for heat exchange with a heat source and a cold source. The system can include a circulation loop. The circulation loop can include a heat emission portion configured to exchange heat with the cold source and a heat absorption portion configured to exchange heat with the heat source, the heat absorption portion comprising a channel. The embodiment can include a liquid pump configured to circulate a liquid through the circulation loop, from an inlet of the channel to an outlet of the channel and a bubble injector coupled to the circulation loop proximal to the inlet of the channel and configured to flow a gas to form a plurality of gas bubbles in the channel, with each of the plurality of gas bubbles monodispersed across the channel, with segments of liquid separating successive gas bubbles of the plurality of gas bubbles.
