摘要： A radio frequency pill for tracking grain or other agricultural products through an agricultural value chain includes a body. The body has an outer surface shaped substantially the same as a selected seed type. The body further includes a cavity. A radio frequency identification device (RFID) is disposed within the cavity of the body. The RFID device is encoded with identification information readable by a remotely positioned reader.

The farming system additionally includes a local controller. The local controller includes one or more processors configured to execute a set of program instructions stored in memory. The program instructions are configured to cause the one or more processors to control one or more components of the field engagement unit.
