Abstract:
A system and method are provided for maintenance of service areas within a facility by a plurality of attendants, wherein each service area has one or more product dispensers that require periodic refill. Via a sensor configured with each product dispenser and a control system in communication with the sensors, a product level or amount of product in each dispenser is determined. Based on information from the sensors, a respective refill time is computed for refilling each of the dispensers. Location of the attendants is tracked on a continuous or periodic basis. As a function of the computed refill times and location of the various attendants, one of the attendants is selected to service one or more of the product dispensers in a particular service area. An alert message is generated and transmitted to the selected attendant that gives the location of the particular service area within the facility. Determination of the selected attendant is made such that the selected attendant reaches the particular service area at or near the computed refill time of the one or more product dispensers in the particular service area facility.
Abstract:
A washroom management system with a sensor to generate operability level data for a washroom component; a controller to modify operation of the washroom component; and a central management system to access the operability level data, communicate with the controller and evaluate the operability data to determine an actionable event type for the washroom component, and the central system further configured to in response to determining the event type is the automated resolution event, put the washroom component into the issue resolution state and then putting the washroom component to one of the normal operation state or disabled state based on evaluating the operability level data after the issue resolution state; and in response to determining the event type is the assisted resolution event, leave the washroom component in the normal operation state or put it into the disabled state and causing a message to be sent to an attendant.
Abstract:
A system and method are provided for improving product usage prior to refill of product dispensers in service areas that include a plurality of such dispensers. Via a sensor configured with each of the product dispensers and a control system in communication with the sensors, a product level or amount condition of product in each dispenser is detected. Based on the information from the sensors, a visual or audio message is generated and transmitted to the patron that encourages the patron to use a first product dispenser that has a greater product fill amount as compared to a second product dispenser in the same or a different service area.
Abstract:
A system and control method for determining an amount of paper product dispensed from a dispenser or remaining in the dispenser is provided. The paper product is initially loaded in the dispenser as a paper product formation, such as a roll or stack of the product. At defined intervals, a digital image of an aspect of the paper product formation in the dispenser is taken and transmitted to a digital imager processor. A feature of the digital image that changes as the paper product formation decreases in size as the paper product is dispensed is analyzed and compared with a predetermined value of the feature at a predefined size of the paper product formation to determine an amount of the paper product dispensed or remaining in the dispenser.
Abstract:
A system comprising a plurality of dispensers each configured to dispense a respective hygienic consumable product during a dispense operation and each including a processor and memory; a distributed computing program configured to receive data defining a computational task comprising work streams and generate data assigning the work streams to at least two of the plurality of dispensers, wherein each of the at least two of the plurality of dispensers are configured to use their respective processor and memory to work on their respective work streams; and a data processing apparatus configured to run the distributed computing program.
Abstract:
A system and control method are provided for encouraging patron use of washrooms at commercial establishments. A plurality of commercial establishments are enrolled in a washroom rewards program, as well as patrons that may frequent or visit such establishments. Respective point values in the washroom rewards program are established for defined washroom activities performed by the patrons in the washrooms of the commercial establishments. The identity and location of the commercial establishments are provided to the patrons. Upon the patrons performing one of the defined washroom activities in one of the commercial establishments, the patron is identified and awarded credit of the points for the defined activity to a player account assigned to the patron. Provisions are made for the patrons to redeem accumulated points in their respective account for an award.
Abstract:
A system and associated method for encouraging individual employees of a business, or members of a team, to practice proper washroom activities is provided. The employees or team members are enrolled a washroom rewards program, and certain washroom facilities are designated as available to the individuals for use in the rewards program. The washroom facilities are configured with an identification (ID) system that automatically identifies enrolled employees or team members that enter the facility. Point values are assigned in the washroom rewards program for defined washroom activities performed by the individuals in the designated washroom facilities, and upon performance of such activities, the individual is identified via the ID system and a personal account assigned to the individual is automatically credited with the point value. The points are redeemable by the individuals for an award value.
Abstract:
Methods, systems and apparatus for operating a dispenser system including receiving product usage information and battery status from each of a plurality of dispensers, determining expected product depletion dates for each of the plurality of dispensers based on the respective product usage information; determining expected battery depletion dates for each of the plurality of dispensers based on the respective battery status; determining respective dispenser tasks for one or more of the plurality of dispensers that specify tasks a dispenser is responsible to perform over a given time period to cause, for each of one or more of the plurality of dispensers, the respective expected product depletion date and expected battery depletion date to be within a threshold range of one another, and communicating the respective dispenser tasks to the one or more of the plurality of dispensers.
Abstract:
Methods, systems and apparatus for dynamically adjusting product use reporting schedules for dispensers to increase or decrease the frequency of such reports based on expected product use such as a date the dispenser is expected to be depleted.
Abstract:
A system and associated method are provided for maintenance of a plurality of washroom facilities by maintenance personnel, wherein each of the washroom facilities has one or more consumable product dispensers that require periodic refill. For each of the washroom facilities, the product dispensers are configured with a sensor that detects a product level or amount condition of the product dispenser, the sensors in communication with a monitoring station assigned to the washroom facility. A set of instructions unique to each of the washroom facilities is generated based upon the detected product level or amount conditions of the dispensers in the respective washroom facility, the set of instructions including instructions as to the amount of product refill to be added to the dispensers. With an identification (ID) system configured within each washroom facility, maintenance personnel that enter the washroom facility are identified and provided with the unique set of instructions in a message via a mobile smart device carried by the maintenance personnel or an audio or visual display device within the washroom facility.
