    Abstract: A tyre for vehicle wheels comprising a tread band (2), upon which there are defined a plurality of first transverse grooves (30) and a plurality of second transverse grooves (60) slanted in a discordant manner with respect to the first transverse grooves (30). Each first transverse groove (30) comprises a first portion (33) slanted relative to said circumferential direction by a first angle (A), and a second portion (34) extending into first portion (33) is slanted relative to said circumferential direction by a second angle (B) smaller than the first angle (A). Each second transverse groove (60) comprises a first portion (62) slanted relative to the circumferential direction by a third angle (C), a second portion (63) extending from the first portion (62) and slanted relative to the circumferential direction by a fourth angle (D) smaller or equal to a third angle (C) and ending in said second portion (34) of said first transverse grooves (30), as well as a third portion (64) extending from the second portion (34) and parallel to the latter.
