摘要: A method of wireless communication includes receiving, by a UE, one or more configuration messages indicating synchronization signals (SS) and physical broadcast channel (PBCH) block measurement timing configuration (SMTC) parameters. The SMTC parameters indicate SMTC windows associated with reception of synchronization signal blocks (SSBs) by the UE from a base station. The method further includes, based on detecting one or more trigger conditions, transitioning, by the UE, from an inactive state to an active state to receive, during a time interval distinct from the SMTC windows, one or more SSBs from the base station. The method further includes performing, by the UE, one or more beam management operations based on the one or more SSBs received during the time interval.

In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may transmit, to a base station, information indicating a Layer 1 signal to interference plus noise ratio (L1-SINR) measurement capability of the UE. In some aspects, the information indicating the L1-SINR measurement capability may include one or more individual configurations for one or more resources to carry a reference signal. In one aspect, a device may identify one or more trigger events for monitoring control signals of another network for inter-RAT procedures, such as monitoring for one or more synchronization signal blocks (SSBs). In another aspect, the device may perform a comparison of multiple SSBs. In another aspect, the device may identify one or more release conditions for releasing local settings data associated with a customized measurement gap. In another aspect, the device may send the local settings data to a server. In another aspect, the device may send an extended signaling message indicating a timing offset between network devices.

摘要: In an aspect, the present disclosure includes a method, apparatus, and computer readable medium for wireless communications at a user equipment (UE) for measuring one or more synchronization signal block (SSB) beams from a network entity; selecting a highest rated SSB beam from the one or more SSB beams based on one or more selection factors; transmitting, to the network entity, a beam report including an identification of the highest rated SSB beam; initiating a timer in response to transmitting the beam report; determining whether a media access control (MAC) control element (CE) is received from the network entity before expiration of the timer; and performing beam switching from a current SSB beam to the highest rated SSB beam based on a determination that the MAC CE is not received from the network entity before expiration of the timer.

摘要: A UE may be configured to select narrower or wider beams that may be suitable for use with a current UE mobility, scattering environment, etc. The UE may track changes to an identified beam of a certain width, and so may recover from tracking or other radio link failures by switching to a beam that is spatially adjacent or to a beam of a different width. The UE may identify a first beam associated with a first beam width based on at least one reference signal received by the UE. The UE may further determine a set of beams based on the first beam width that is associated with the identified first beam, and the determined set of beams may include at least one beam corresponding to the first beam width. The UE may further measure respective channel qualities associated with each beam of the determined set of beams.

摘要: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may use a measurement procedure for beam detection within an existing cell. The UE perform a search procedure for a first synchronization signal block (SSB) to detect a first beam of a base station. The UE may determine a first timing offset for the first SSB based on the search procedure. The UE may estimate a second timing offset for a second SSB from the base station based on the first timing offset. The UE may perform a measurement procedure for the second SSB to detect a second beam of the base station based on the second timing offset. The UE may prune fake beams based on synchronization signals used for the measurement procedure.

摘要: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for beam failure detection and recovery. A method that may be performed by a user equipment (UE) includes monitoring one or more first reference signals to detect a beam failure for one or more first control resource sets (CORESETs), transmitting an indication of the beam failure, and receiving a beam failure response after the transmission of the indication of the beam failure, wherein the monitoring of the one or more first reference signals for the detection of the beam failure stops in response to the reception of the beam failure response. The UE may then receive a configuration message after the reception of the beam failure response, and monitor, in response to the reception of the configuration message, one or more second reference signals to detect another beam failure for one or more second CORESETs.
