Specifically, systems that when taken alone, or together, provide an individual or group of individuals with an intuitive and comfortable vehicular environment. The present disclosure includes a system that provides a user with tailored advertising. A vehicular advertising system through user observation is able to capture advertising information related to the user in a vehicle. The advertising information stored within a user profile can be used by advertisers, retail outlets, restaurants and the like to enhance a user's experience. The retail outlets, restaurants and other service sites can provide a user with menus, inventory and have products ready for the user upon arrival to the location. Similarly, advertisers can use these user preferences to manage marketing and advertising campaigns presented to the user.

In some examples, an evolved packet core (EPC) of a 3GPP Long Term Evolution or 3GPP Long Term Evolution-Advanced (LTE/LTE-A) network is arranged to assist D2D identification and discovery procedures at user equipment (UEs) connected to the LTE/LTE-A network. Various identification and discovery procedures may be implemented in connection with proximity detection and the establishment of communication times for the establishment of the D2D communication link, between the UEs. Accordingly, the EPC of the LTE/LTE-A network may assist the establishment of a device-to-device communication link between UEs on a wireless network employing a distinct wireless protocol (for example, a direct wireless network connection via a wireless local area network (WLAN) or wireless personal area network (WPAN).

A method enabling an relay node (RN) to support multiple wireless access techniques is provided, which includes: a mobility management element (MME) requests a DeNB to establish evolved radio access bearers (ERAB) of EUTRAN and indicates access network information that will be transmitted by each of the ERABs; the DeNB requests an RN to establish radio bearers (RB) and indicates the access network information that will be transmitted by each of the RBs. The above method makes fewer modifications to conventional networks and techniques, guarantees service quality provided for a UE accessing an LTE system, and enables an RN to support access of UEs using multiple access techniques.
