Abstract:
A communication system including a femto base station and a method for controlling access of a User Equipment (UE) in the communication system are provided. The method includes receiving a service request message from the UE and transmitting the service request message to a core network entity within a core network, receiving, from the core network, UE information and Local BreakOut (LBO) service information regarding the UE which is used to provide an LBO service to the UE, and providing the LBO service to the UE using the received information. Thus, a core network controls access of the UE so that the UE can directly access an Internet network through the LBO.
Abstract:
In a packet switched wireless communications system for providing voice calls to user equipment, said user equipment also being operable with a circuit switched wireless network, said packet switched network being arranged to hand over a voice call with said user equipment to said circuit switched network during said call, a signalling method comprising the step of transmitting from the packet switched network to the user equipment a signal containing circuit switched call data for use in the circuit switched network.
Abstract:
A handover method between heterogeneous networks, in which a call manager of a network having a Circuit Switching (CS) network supporting a CS call, a Long Term Evolution (LTE) network supporting a packet call, and an Internet Protocol Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) network for anchoring a call, provides handover from the CS network to the LTE network to a terminal that uses one radio channel and can access the CS network and the LTE network.
Abstract:
Provided is a handover method, in which a call manager of a network having a Circuit Switching (CS) network, a Long Term Evolution (LTE) network, and an Internet Protocol Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) network, provides handover, from the LTE network to the CS network, to a terminal that uses one radio channel. The handover method includes upon receiving a request for handover from the terminal via a node of the LTE network, establishing a line to a Mobile Switching Center (MSC) of the CS network; sending, to the call manager, a request for a change in a session to another party's terminal in communication with the terminal, to establish an Internet Protocol (IP) bearer between the call manager and the other party's terminal; and sending a handover command to the terminal during the establishment of an IP bearer, to establish a radio channel to the CS network.
Abstract:
A method and system for processing a call change request in an IMS are provided, in which a network entity receives a call request message requesting a first call from a calling UE, stores call information and caller information of the call request message, forwards the call request message to a called UE, acquires, upon receipt of a call change request message requesting change of the first call to a second call from the called UE during the first call, the caller information of the calling UE using an old call information included in the call change request message and the stored call information, inserts the caller information in receiver information of the call change request message, delivers the call change request message to the calling UE, and establishes the second call between the calling UE and the called UE by replacing the first call with the second call.
Abstract:
A method and system for processing a message in an Internet protocol-based mobile communication system supporting a multimedia service. In the system, application servers include a representative application server and multiple backend application servers. A method for defining a control message between application servers to set up a session using the standard Internet protocol is provided. When an application server performs a call processing operation, control message processing load and control message transmission delay is reduced.
Abstract:
A system is provided that provides a voice call service over a Circuit Switching (CS) domain to a User Equipment (UE) that was receiving a service in a Packet Switching (PS) domain. A Mobile Management Entity (MME) sends a paging message to the UE to provide a service in the CS domain. The MME sends a suspend request message requesting suspension of the service being provided to the UE in the PS domain, upon receiving a report message indicating that the UE has switched to the CS domain. A gateway suspends the service in the PS domain upon receiving the suspend request message from the MME.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a system and a method for communication using different IPs, i.e. a mobile IP supporting mobility and a simple IP, according to the service by a UE. The method includes network initiated IP allocation (i.e. the network allocates different IPs to the UE) and UE initiated IP allocation (i.e. the UE directly requests an IP corresponding to a specific service). As such, the IP is selected and used based on consideration of continuity of the service to be supported by the UE.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for registering the location of a terminal in a PS domain in a mobile communication network are provided, in which the terminal transmits a request message requesting registration of the location of the terminal to an MME of the mobile communication network, receives from the MME a response message including an eMSC indicator indicating an eMSC connected to the MME from among a plurality of eMSCs, and registers the location of the terminal to the eMSC indicated by the eMSC indicator included in the response message if the eMSC indicator included in the response message is different from an eMSC indicator stored in the terminal.
Abstract:
A method and system in which upon occurrence of a P-CSCF failure, a network sends an IMS reregistration request message to a UE. An S-CSCF or an AS monitors a P-CSCF to detect occurrence of a failure in the P-CSCF. Upon detecting the occurrence of a P-CSCF failure, the S-CSCF or the AS sends a request message for IMS reregistration to the UEs being served by the failed P-CSCF. In this manner, the UE can continuously receive the service even though a failure occurs in the P-CSCF.
