The invention relates to a hygiene product such as an incontinence pad, a sanitary towel or a panty liner, wherein the hygiene product comprises a liquid-permeable surface material of nonwoven and a backing material, wherein at least one side of the liquid-permeable surface material of nonwoven is coated with wetting agent to increase its hydrophilicity. Furthermore, the liquid-permeable surface material of nonwoven is also coated, at least on the side that is coated with wetting agent, with allantoin and/or D-panthenol.

The invention provides a fibre, film or foam comprising a plasticizer and a charged claylinked gel (A), said charged claylinked gel (A) comprising clay nanoparticles (C) which are crosslinked by a charged polymer (A') such that any particular clay nanoparticle is linked to at least one other clay nanoparticle by said charged polymer (A'). Methods for producing the fibres, film and foam are also provided.

The present invention relates to an absorbent article such as a diaper, panty diaper, panty liner, sanitary napkin or incontinence device, wherein at least one part of said absorbent article carries a film comprising at least one monomolecular layer of a polymer having a functional group and an active agent, in particular to an absorbent article wherein the film is obtainable by layer-by-layer deposition of at least a first polymer having a first functional group and a second polymer having a second functional group capable of interacting with the first functional group. Moreover, the invention pertains to the use of a film obtainable by the layer-by-layer deposition of at least one first polymer having a first functional group and a second polymer having a second functional group capable of interacting with the first functional group for releasing an active agent contained in said film upon wetting of said film by body fluids. Preferably the first polymer having a first functional group is a polycationic polymer and the second polymer having a second functional group is a polyanionic polymer.

It is disclosed a skin treatment composition comprising an emulsion, which comprises a continuous phase and a dispersed phase. The continuous phase comprises cellulose derivatives (CD), and nanocellulose, preferably cellulose nanocrystals (CNC), and a carrier, and the dispersed phase is an oil containing composition. Said emulsion forms a solid emulsion upon drying, said solid emulsion comprising a matrix of solid continuous phase and a dispersed oil phase.

The invention relates to an absorbent product (8; 12; 16; 22; 25)comprising a nonwoven material (1)arranged to be in contact with skin of a user during use of the absorbent product (8; 12; 16; 22; 25). The nonwoven material (1)comprises at least on a skin contacting surface a mixture of non-absorbent and absorbent fibres. The absorbent fibres are present in an amount of 2-30% by weight, preferably about 2-10% by weight, based on the total weight of the fibres in thenonwoven material (1). A hygiene article comprising one or more layers, which article comprises a solid emulsion, which solid emulsion comprises a matrix of solid continuous phase and a dispersed oil phase, wherein the solid continuous phase comprises cellulose derivatives (CD), nanocellulose and the dispersed oil phase is an oil containing composition. The cellulose derivatives (CD) are preferably chosen from carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC), hydroxyethyl cellulose (HEC), ethyl hydroxyethyl cellulose (EHEC), or hydroxylpropyl methyl cellulose (HPMC), preferably CMC or HEC, or combinations of two or more of these cellulose derivatives. Methods of manufacture of the hygiene article comprising the steps of preparing a film, foam, or particulate comprising the solid emulsion, and incorporating it into a hygiene article, or by applying a fluid emulsion onto a web of fibrous material, and drying the fluid emulsion until 50-100wt% of the water comprised in the fluid emulsion has evaporated, and incorporating the web of fibrous material into a hygiene article, or by applying a fluid emulsion onto a web of fibrous material already incorporated in a hygiene article and drying the emulsion.
