    Abstract: A wireless telecommunication system may utilize multiple network slices, each of which may implement a different core network. In order to route initial attach requests to appropriate network slices and corresponding core networks, a mobility management component sends a received initial attach request to a network slice selector. The network slice selector queries a selection policy function to obtain a designation of a particular network slice to which the attach request should be directed. The network slice selector then sends a redirect request to the mobility management component, instructing the mobility management component to resend the attach request to the designated network slice.

    Abstract: A roaming wireless user device on a Visited Public Land Mobile Network (VPLMN) may initiate a Long-Term Evolution (LTE) emergency call to a Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP). Accordingly, a Proxy Call Session Control Function (P-CSCF) of the VPLMN may receive an anonymous Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) invite message for the LTE emergency call. The anonymous SIP invite message lacks a Mobile Station International Subscriber Directory Number (MSISDN) of the wireless user device but has an International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) of the wireless user device. The anonymous SIP invite message is forwarded to a Location Retrieval Function (LRF) in a Gateway Mobile Location Centre (GMLC) of the VPLMN. The LRF obtains a MSISDN of the wireless user device that matches the IMEI in the anonymous SIP invite message from a database of the GMLC, such that the MSISDN is routed with the LTE emergency call to the PSAP.

    Abstract: In certain cellular communication systems, a roaming communication device may attempt to establish a connection with a visited wireless communication network. Before allowing the connection, the visited network may check to see whether the International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) of the device has been listed in an Equipment Identity Register (EIR) as being blocked, and may refuse the connection if the IMEI is listed as being blocked. In addition, when the home network of the device receives a request to authorize usage of the device, the home network may also check its own EIR to determine whether the IMEI has been blocked. If the IMEI has been blocked in the EIR of the home network, the home network indicates to the visited network that the connection should be refused.

    Abstract: This disclosure describes a video interconnect system that may establish a Video over Long Term Evolution (ViLTE) communication session between two interacting client devices. In some examples, the video interconnect system may selectively establish a ViLTE communication based on one or more rules associated with the domain information of interacting client devices, availability of network bandwidth, bandwidth consumption of a video component of the ViLTE communication, or established service agreements between telecommunication service providers of the interacting client devices. Further, the video interconnect system may facilitate generating termination charges for a video and/or audio communication session of a ViLTE communication.     Abstract: The techniques for metering Video over LTE (ViLTE) data usage may ensure data consumption by subscribers are in line with their recurring service plans. A request to establish a video bearer between a mobile telecommunication network and a user device for a multimedia call may be received at a policy engine of a mobile telecommunication network. Subsequently, information that indicates a connection type used by the user device to connect to the mobile telecommunication network may be retrieved from a gateway of the network. The video bearer for a video over wireless local area network call of the user device may be established without ViLTE data usage metering in response to the user device having a WLAN connection type. However, the video bearer for a ViLTE call may be established with ViLTE data usage metering in response to the user device having a LTE connection type.
