摘要： A fully automated method for cleaning and disinfecting blood dialyzers and an apparatus (10) to perform such method. The system identifies the particular dialyzer (16) to be cleaned, has the capability of providing different cleaning processes for different types of dialyzers, for performing various reuseability tests to determine whether the cleaning process is proceeding properly and has the ability to inhibit the further sequencing or to add additional cleaning sequences if the various tests are not passed. The system insures that a dialyzer is properly cleaned and is returned for use only with the proper patient.
