摘要: The present invention relates to compositions to induce production of proteins, e.g., enzymes, e.g., amylases or biomass degrading enzymes in a host cell, and methods for increasing the yield of the proteins, e.g., enzymes produced. Such compositions comprise a caramelized sugar product. The methods described herein can also be used to enhance processing of biomass materials, e.g., to produce sugar products.

摘要: The present invention relates to compositions comprising an aglycosylated polypeptide having cellobiase activity, and methods for producing and using the same. The present invention is based, at least in part, on the surprising discovery that a cellobiase from Trichoderma reesei that was expressed in a non-fungal cell line and isolated from a host cell that does not significantly glycosylate the enzyme had higher specific activity on pure substrate than the endogenous cellobiase (glycosylated and secreted) from T. reesei.
