    Abstract: The disclosure relates to a 5G or 6G communication system for supporting a higher data transmission rate. Specifically, the disclosure related to method for self-optimization of random access channel (RACH) in a wireless network (300). The method includes storing, by a User Equipment (UE) (100), a feature specific RACH information corresponding to a feature specific RACH applied by the UE (100). The feature specific RACH is applied for one of a Small Data Transmission (SDT), coverage enhancement, a Reduced Capacity (Redcap), and network slicing. Further, the method includes sending, by the UE (100), the feature specific RACH information to a network device (200) in the wireless network.

    Abstract: The disclosure relates to a 5G or 6G communication system for supporting a higher data transmission rate. Embodiments herein disclose a method and a base station (100) for managing sounding reference signal (SRS) transmission in a wireless communication. The method includes receiving the SRS transmitted from a group of user equipments (UEs) (200a-200d) in the wireless communication over same time-frequency resource. The method also determines the transmission variant by decoding the SRS. Further, the method includes performing one of: estimating at least one channel of receiving the SRS from each UE of the group of UEs (200a-200d) in the slot using a first receiver when the transmission variant is one of the C-CDM-C-CS variant or the V-CDM-C-CS variant, and estimating at least one channel of receiving the SRS from each UE of the group of UEs (200a-200d) in the slot using a second receiver when the transmission variant is one of the C-CDM-C-CS variant or the C-CDM-V-CS variant.

    Abstract: A method and an apparatus for uplink transmissions in a wireless communication system are provided. The method includes receiving a downlink signal including at least one of downlink data or downlink control information (DCI); and determining uplink signals to be transmitted based on the downlink signal, and determining at least one of a time unit or an uplink channel for transmitting the uplink signal, wherein the uplink signal includes at least one of uplink data or uplink control information (UCI), and the uplink channel includes at least one of a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) or a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH); and performing an uplink transmission based on the determined uplink signals, and the determined time units and/or uplink channels. The invention can improve the efficiency of the uplink transmission.
