The head according to the invention consists of the disc body (1) with mounting holes (8), (9), (11) and (14), joined detachably with at least two pivotally mounted blades (2) for lawn mowing, or with at least two pivotally mounted blades (24) for picking up leafs and either two short aerator assemblies (26) or two long aerator assemblies (27) for lawn cleaning and aerating located between said blades and/or with at least two cutting blades (47) for branch cutting and shredding, while blades (2) or (24) mounted to said body and aerators (26) or (27) located between said blades are distributed symmetrically along outer circumference of said body, and in the case of cutting blades (47) - symmetrically on inner surface of said body provided with a pressed bean (4).
Abstract:
A reel (19) for performing a working operation such as lawn mowing, lawn renovating such as dethatching, or ground levelling. The reel (19) comprises a central support (21) such as a rigid cylinder (22), defining an axis of rotation of the reel. A plurality of bristles (23) project outwardly of the central support (21). The outer ends of the bristles (23) cooperate to define a generally cylindrical surface coaxial with the axis of rotation. The bristles (23) are grouped in tufts which in turn are arranged in a spiral formation.

Abstract:
A compact, lightweight and easy-to-use wheeled lawn care unit (10) comprising a two-wheeled carriage (12), a power source (28), plurality of tools (86, 88, 90, 92, 94, 95, 96) which may be alternatively connected to the power source (28), a handle (37) and a boom (38) connecting the selected tool to the power source (28). The power source (28) is pivotally connected to the carriage at a location within its footprint (93). The unit has a low center of gravity by placing the power source pivot (30) and center of gravity within a cylinder (22) defined by wheels (16, 18). The booms (38, 40) extend horizontally from the power source (28) and is of a split boom configuration which allows selective rotation for the boom portions relative to one another. An edger (86) that can be selected for the unit, which includes a spring-loaded wheel (114). The edger may be rotated from a non-working position (130) where the edger blade does not contact the ground to a working position (132) by rocking a handle (37) behind the carriage (12) forward against the bias of the spring. A second more compact version has the shield (238) positioned on the boom (40).
Abstract:
A high-efficiency lawn maintenance tool (20) includes a frame (24, 28) and a deck (28) attached to the frame (24, 28). A plurality of ground engaging members (26) are attached to the frame (24, 28), and a power source (34) is attached to one of the frame (24, 28) and the deck (28), wherein the power source (34) is connected to a drive shaft (36) that passes through the deck (28). A high-efficiency blade (56) system is attached to the drive shaft (36). A controller is electrically connected to the power source (34), and the controller is configured to correlate the load and/or the mower (20) groundspeed independent of an operator's control. Other examples include reduced operating speeds of the drive shaft (36) and commensurate reduced tip speeds of a set of cutting blades (56).
Abstract:
A robotic vehicle may include a power module and a working module. The power module may include control circuitry configured to execute stored instructions to direct operation of the robotic vehicle on a defined area, and a drive motor for propelling the robotic vehicle responsive to control by the control circuitry. The working module may be configured to perform a function with respect to the defined area responsive to being propelled by the power module. The working module may be one of a plurality of interchangeable working modules that are attachable to the power module. At least one of the interchangeable working modules may have a different function than the working module.
Abstract:
An implement coupling arrangement, typically for use with a lawn care vehicle (1), comprising a first part arranged to be coupled to a vehicle (1) and a second part arranged to be selectively mounted on the first part, in which the first part comprises a support arm (5) configured to support the second part, a mounting (6) for moveably mounting the support arm (5) relative to the vehicle (1), and a biasing member (7) arranged so as to bias the support arm (5) upwards relative to the vehicle (1), in which the second part comprises an implement (9) and a mounting assembly (8), the mounting assembly (8) and the support arm (5) being interengageable so as to mount the second part on the first part; and in which the arrangement further comprises a locking mechanism ( 10), which has a locked state which inhibits movement of the support arm (5) upwards relative to the vehicle (1) beyond a point, and an unlocked state which allows upward movement of the support arm (5) relative to the vehicle (1) beyond the point; in which disengagement of the mounting assembly (8) from the support arm (5) causes the locking mechanism (10) to enter the locked state.
Abstract:
A multi-purpose tool (10) is used as an air blower capable of delivering a high-velocity stream of air when in a blower mode of operation and as a rotating string trimmer capable of trimming vegetation when in a trimmer mode of operation. The tool has a blower housing (18) including an enclosed chamber (30), a plurality of vents (35) leading to the chamber, and a blower nozzle (32) for directing air from the chamber, wherein the impeller (20) is rotatably mounted in the chamber such that the housing defines an air pathway between the vents and the impeller. The multi-purpose tool also includes means (82) for blocking the flow of air between vents and the impeller when in the trimmer mode of operation and means (99, 124) for disengaging the trimmer head (22) from the internal drive shaft (26) when in the blower mode.
Abstract:
A combination blower assembly and string trimmer (10) whereby the string trimmer head (52) is easily detachable without the use of any tools. The device includes a blower assembly (12) that further includes an upper (14) and lower (16) housing mated together to form a volute-shaped cavity where an impeller (18) with airfoil-shaped blades reside. The detachable string trimmer head (52) is located under the lower housing (16) of the blower assembly (12) and is easily attached or removed from the blower assembly (12) by a simple push and turn motion. The blower assembly further includes an air inlet (20) and air inlet cover (22). When the air inlet cover (22) is rotated to a position where the air inlet (20) is open the blower assembly (12) is operable and the string trimmer (52) is inoperable. Furthermore, when the air inlet cover (22) is rotated to a position where the air inlet (20) is closed the blower assembly (12) is inoperable and the string trimmer (52) is operable.
