The walk-behind mower (20) also includes a universal joint (90) connecting the steering wheel assembly (80) to the frame (24). The walk-behind mower (20) further includes a mower deck (34) attached to the frame (24) and a mower blade assembly (36) attached to the deck. In other examples, the walk-behind mower (20) includes a front section (26) and a rear section (28) that rotate relative to each other about a vertical axis (30).
Abstract:
Aspects hereof relate to an operator protection apparatus having at least one over-center linkage. In some aspects, an operator protection apparatus can be raised and lowered by an operator from a seated position, for example, on a terrain working vehicle. Additionally, the at least one over-center linkage may automatically lock in the operator protection apparatus in a raised position. Accordingly, a mechanical force is then required to overcome the lock, and allow the operator protection apparatus to return to a lowered position.
Abstract:
Abstract:
A walk-behind lawn mower comprising a body with an engine driving a cutting blade, and a handle assembly which is pivotably connected to the body. The lawn mower furthermore comprises a handle control arrangement for controlling pivotal movement of the handle assembly relative to the bod, between a working position and a pivoted position. The handle control arrangement comprises a locking member, selectively displaceable between an open state in which the locking member allows pivotal movement of the handle assembly from the working position to the pivoted position, and a locked state in which the locking member inhibits pivotal movement of the handle assembly from the working position to the pivoted position. The handle control arrangement also comprises an actuating member operatively connected to the locking member and controlling the state of the locking member. The actuating member is also arranged to control activation and deactivation of a device arranged to inhibit rotation of the cutting blade of the walk- behind lawn mower.
Abstract:
A lawn mower (100) having a base (101) upon which there is mounted an engine (103). Extending upwardly from the base (101) is a handle assembly (104) that is provided with a first resilient assembly (136) that inhibits the transmission of vibrations in the direction of the handle, and a second resilient assembly in the form of assemblies (109) that inhibit the transmission of vibrations to the operator about a generally horizontal transverse axis (131).

Abstract:
A compact, lightweight and easy-to-use wheeled lawn care unit (10) comprising a two-wheeled carriage (12), a power source (28), plurality of tools (86, 88, 90, 92, 94, 95, 96) which may be alternatively connected to the power source (28), a handle (37) and a boom (38) connecting the selected tool to the power source (28). The power source (28) is pivotally connected to the carriage at a location within its footprint (93). The unit has a low center of gravity by placing the power source pivot (30) and center of gravity within a cylinder (22) defined by wheels (16, 18). The booms (38, 40) extend horizontally from the power source (28) and is of a split boom configuration which allows selective rotation for the boom portions relative to one another. An edger (86) that can be selected for the unit, which includes a spring-loaded wheel (114). The edger may be rotated from a non-working position (130) where the edger blade does not contact the ground to a working position (132) by rocking a handle (37) behind the carriage (12) forward against the bias of the spring. A second more compact version has the shield (238) positioned on the boom (40).
Abstract:
A handle (1) of a lawnmower (10) is described, comprising two lower ends (12) pivoted with a body (101) of the lawnmower (10), being suitable for passing from at least one high position to at least one low position, being rotatably connected to the body (101) by means of a fulcrum pin (31) to rotate the handle (1) and a bond pin (42), suitable for pivoting in an eccentric washer (4) comprising recesses (45, 47) suitable for engaging with at least one catch (23) to block the eccentric washer (4) in at least two positions of engagement corresponding to the high position and the low position of the handle (1), respectively, said eccentric washer (4) passes from a first to a second position of engagement by translating and rotating about an axis (R).
Abstract:
A drive system of a lawn mower includes a drive belt, a drive pulley, a drive shaft pulley and an idler pulley. The drive pulley is disposed at a rocking transmission of the lawn mower to transfer drive belt motion to power for a set of wheels of the lawn mower via the rocking transmission when the rocking transmission is engaged. The drive shaft pulley is operably coupled to a drive shaft of the lawn mower to rotate responsive to rotation of the drive shaft. The drive shaft pulley engages the drive belt responsive to engagement of the rocking transmission.
