Abstract:
In a process for producing gum-drops made of two different masses, in particular fruit gum-drop masses, also in combination with other mouldable candy masses such as meringue and/or licorice, moulds are filled with the candy masses. The moulds have at least one outer ring-shaped cavity and at least one inner cavity. During casting, the at least two cavities are mutually separated by a wall. The cavities are filled with different candy masses. The candy mass cast into the outer cavity has a higher melting temperature than the candy mass cast into the next inner cavity. The two candy masses are cooled down to a temperature below their melting temperatures until they solidify. The solidified moulded bodies made of the two candy masses are removed from the mould. The nested inner and outer layers of candy mass remain substantially intact and the mould elements (solid mould elements, mould sprinkled with flour) are removed. The nested moulded bodies are thermally treated at a temperature higher than the melting temperature of the inner candy mass but lower than the melting temperature of the outer candy mass, so that the inner candy mass melts and substantially fills like a disk the outer ring, which remains solid.
Abstract:
The present invention is related to a food product-forming apparatus (10), with a movable form-body (7), in which the food product is formed, and a knock out cup (4), which executes a knock-out-movement, that removes the food product from the form-body, whereas the knock out cup comprises an at least partially permeable bottom (11), through which a fluid-medium (13) can be ejected and whereas, during the knock-out movement, a fluid-medium cushion is created, at least temporarily beneath the permeable bottom. The present invention furthermore comprises a process for the production of food products.
Abstract:
The present disclosure provides an apparatus and method for the continuous production of center-filled confectionery products. The apparatus may include an extruder for forming a continuous extrudate having a plurality of center-filled confectionery ropes. The apparatus may also include a forming device for forming individual confectionery pieces, and sealed center-filled confectionery pieces in particular. The forming device provides improved coordination and control of extrudate formation and extrudate feed into the forming device. The apparatus and method of the present disclosure increases product output and reduces the amount of unacceptable product.
Abstract:
The present disclosure provides center-filled confectionery products and apparatuses and methods for producing the center-filled confectionery products. The apparatuses include a forming device with cooperatively engaging first and second forming members. The center-filled confectionery products may be released from the forming device with or without the use of an ejection device. The ejection device may comprise plunger members that contact the center-filled confectionery or may comprise a non-contact ejection device. The apparatuses further include an extruder having a housing. The housing has an inlet for receiving a material, at least one extrusion screw within the interior of the housing, and at least device in cooperative communication with the inlet and the extrusion screw. The extruder provides a process that allows for improved blending of chewing gum ingredients and improved processability of the chewing gum product.
Abstract:
Machine for emptying a mould is equipped with inlet means (2) to adduce mould (M), provided with recesses (R) positioned upward and containing products (P) formed therein, to a turning means (3) of the mould, fit to turn the recesses (R) downward. The machine 1 comprises advancing means (4) and an emptying means (5) of the tilted mould and transporting means (6) below for the products detached from the moulds. The advancing means (4) comprises guiding means (7) positioned downstream in respect to the adduction motion (F) of the turning means (3) to house in sliding manner the moulds (M) extracted from the turning means (3) and mutually pushed along the guiding means (7) by means of linear actuator means (8) nearly aligned and opposed, in respect to the turning means (3) , to said guiding means (7).
Abstract:
A machine and method for making unit confections of shaped complementary parts which consist of different recipes, flavors, colors, textures and/or mix inclusions having groups of complementary molds (11, 12), in which a group of first molds (11) produces physical shapes which displace at least a portion of the product in a group of second molds (12) to produce complementarily joined shaped confections produced in the group of second molds.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method for manufacturing a candy drinking straws includes a system for arranging a soft mass of sugar composition around a solid mold having a support cord extending from an end thereof, rolling the sugar composition along a surface of the solid mold using a plurality of rotating scrolls rotating around the solid mold to shape the sugar composition into a hollow tube, the sugar composition being pushed along the solid mold onto the support cord, pulling the sugar composition along the support cord to form hollow cylindrical candy, and cutting the hollow cylindrical candy into a plurality of hollow candy segments.

Abstract:
Apparatuses and methods are described for demolding articles from molding trays, including confectionery articles such as molded chocolate pieces, utilizing the resonant frequency of the mold tray. The methods may also be used to improve the distribution of edible liquid starting material deposited in mold tray cavities utilizing the resonant frequency of the mold tray. The invention is also directed to a process for controlling molding and demolding processes, such as by determining an empty state of a demolded mold tray according to its characteristic resonant frequency.
