The controller is configured to receive the parameter, control the brush roll motor based on the parameter and a first floor coefficient, determine second floor coefficient based on the parameter, and control the brush roll motor based on second floor coefficient.

A cleaner head (10) for a vacuum cleaner (100) has a housing (12), an agitator (20) rotatably mounted within the housing (12), and first (56) and second (58) debris removal members. The first debris removal member (56) is movable relative to the second debris removal member (58) between a first position in which the first (56) and second (58) debris removal members are spaced apart to define a debris collection channel (88), and a second position in which the first (56) and second (58) debris removal members are substantially contiguous or overlapping. Movement of the first debris removal member (56) from the first position toward the second position removes debris from the debris collection channel (88). The cleaner head (10) has a movement mechanism (60,62,64) for moving the first debris removal member (56) between the first and second positions, and the movement mechanism (60,62,64) is entirely housed within the agitator (20).

The vacuum cleaner (1) comprises a profile arrangement (20) with a profile (23) having a first profile part (23a) and a second profile part (23b). The second profile part (23b) is arranged to at least partly enclose the first profile part (23a) and the first profile part (23a) is slidable into the second profile part (23b) for adjustment of a length of the profile (23). The housing (10) is arranged to be moveably attached to the profile (23), such that the housing (10) is moveable along at least a part of the length of the profile (23).

The turbine assembly comprises an overspeed device having a rest state and a triggered state. The overspeed device switches to the triggered state when the flow rate of the fluid drawn through the brushbar exceeds a threshold. When the overspeed device is in the triggered state it restricts the flow rate of the fluid drawn through the brushbar.
Abstract:
A surface cleaning head may be configured to receive a removable rotatable driven agitator, such as a brush roll, or a non-driven agitator. Either of these agitators may be located in an openable agitator chamber for purposes of removing debris and/or removing the agitator. The openable agitator chamber may be covered by an external cover that is movable between an open position and a closed position. At least one end of the removable agitator may be secured in the agitator chamber by the external cover. A sealing member may be located between the external cover and a surface cleaning head housing and around a perimeter of the agitator chamber. Different removable agitators with different characteristics may be used interchangeably in the surface cleaning head.
