Abstract:
In some embodiments, a system and/or method may include an inner wearable harness worn, during use, on a torso of a subject. The system may include a plurality of engines which when activated apply an oscillation force. The system may include a positioning system which allows positioning at least one of the plurality of engines such that the oscillation force is applied to at least one treatment area of the subject. The oscillation force may mobilize, during use, at least some secretions in an airway within the subject substantially adjacent the treatment area. The system may include an outer harness worn, during use, on a torso of a subject. The outer wearable harness, when activated, adjusts the oscillation force applied by at least some of the activated plurality of engines to the treatment area.

Abstract:
Treatment systems, methods, and apparatuses for improving the appearance of skin or other target regions are described. Aspects of the technology are directed to improving the appearance of skin by tightening the skin, improving skin tone or texture, eliminating or reducing wrinkles, increasing skin smoothness, or improving the appearance sites with cellulite. Treatments can include cooling a surface of a patient's skin and detecting freezing in the cooled skin. The tissue can be cooled after the freeze event is detected so to maintain the frozen state of the tissue to improve the appearance of the treatment site.
Abstract:
A system provides compression of a limb of a patient and out-of-axis restraint of a joint of the limb being compressed and application of vibration to a first end of the limb so that the vibration is transmitted through the first end of the limb, the compressed joint, and through the remainder of the limb.

Abstract:
The present invention relates to a vehicle device for pressing a human body, comprising: a transmission link which includes a frame having an upper portion with a saddle serving as a seat for a user and a lower portion to which a main gear is coupled, a handle coupled to one side of the frame, and a pedal for rotating the main gear when pushed by the user, and which is rotatably coupled to one side of the frame; a driving link, one side of which is rotatably coupled to one side of the transmission link and the other side of which is coupled to the pedal; and a press bar, one side of which is coupled to the other side of the transmission link such that the height of the press bar is adjustable. When the pedal is pushed, the driving link moves in the forward and backward directions in accordance with the pedal, and the transmission link also moves in the forward and backward directions, thus enabling the press bar to press the front part of the body of the user at a predetermined interval. The vehicle device of the present invention is advantageous in that fat or the like in the part of the body of the user such as the abdomen which is regularly struck by the press bar is decomposed, and fecal impactions are removed from the intestines by the vibration or the like generated by the striking of the press bar.

Abstract:
Single- or dual-bladder devices for remote ischemic preconditioning and blood pressure monitoring are disclosed along with various oscillometry-based and other methods for detecting systolic and diastolic blood pressure while the ischemic preconditioning treatment is in progress. The devices and methods of the invention provide for delivery of ischemic preconditioning at the lowest effective cuff pressure while closely monitoring patient's hemodynamics. Advantageously, the device of the invention allows both ischemic preconditioning and blood pressure monitoring to be done on the same limb. Disposable battery-powered version of the device of the present invention is especially useful for emergency use with patients suffering from acute myocardial infarction, acute stroke, or acute trauma. Additional device configurations are described for use in a percutaneous intervention and vascular sealing settings.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method for providing treatment feedback relating to a patient undergoing therapeutic treatment of tissue during dynamic motion therapy are provided. The apparatus includes a platform (104) configured to support a body of the patient; an oscillator (112) connected to the platform and configured to impart an oscillating force at a predetermined frequency on the platform for transmitting mechanical vibration energy through the patient's body, and a processing device (402) in operable communication with the platform for processing data related to the therapeutic treatment and for determining the amount of mechanical vibration energy transmitting through the patient's body. The apparatus further includes a treatment feedback indicator (108) for indicating (e.g., displaying) the amount of mechanical vibration energy transmitting through the patient's body.
