    Abstract: The present invention relates to nitric oxide (NO)-releasing nail coating compositions, NO-releasing coatings, and methods of using the same, for example, to treat fungal infections of a nail. Provided according to embodiments of the invention are nitric oxide (NO)- releasing nail coating compositions and/or coatings. In some embodiments, a NO-releasing nail coating composition and/or coating may be in the form of a film. In some embodiments, a NO-releasing nail coating may be formed from a NO-releasing nail coating composition. In some embodiments, a NO-releasing nail coating composition may be in the form of a nail lacquer, a paste, a cream, a gel, and/or an ointment.

    Abstract: Compositions comprising a granular mixture containing a water-soluble acid, a thickener and a water-soluble dispersant as the essential components wherein the thickener is mixed with the water-soluble acid and the water-soluble dispersant, and a viscous composition containing a carbonic acid salt, water and a thickener as the essential component which is to be mixed with the granular mixture before using. Use of these compositions makes it possible to easily prepare external carbon dioxide agents within a short time. The thus prepared external carbon dioxide agents contain much carbon dioxide in the whole agents, have a sufficient viscosity, can form a coating film in the part in contact with the atmosphere to thereby inhibit the aspiration of carbon dioxide, suffer from no sagging or decrease in thickness when applied to the skin mucosa, exhibit potent cosmetic and medical effects, and show quick expression of the effects.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a transparent concentrated hair conditioning composition comprising: (1) from about 0.01% to about 50% by weight of a conditioning agent selected from the group consisting of cationic surfactants, cationic polymers, silicone compounds, polyalkylene glycols, and mixtures thereof; and (2) an aqueous carrier; (3) wherein the hair conditioning composition is used for conditioning the hair comprising the steps of; (a) applying a shampoo composition comprising a detersive surfactant to the hair; (b) providing a treated water by dispersing the conditioning composition to water, wherein the treated water has a concentration by weight of from 0.001% to 2% of the conditioning agent; and (c) rinsing the hair with the treated water; and wherein steps (a) and (b) may be reversed;(4) wherein the conditioning composition has a turbidity of no more than about 200 NTU, and the treated water has a turbidity of no more than about 100 NTU.
