Abstract:
A device for playing a game, comprising a game device preferably in the form of a game board; a plurality of game pieces adapted to be movable to predefined positions on the game device according to a first set of game rules; and a randomising unit for modifying one or more rules of the first set of game rules thereby introducing an element of chance to the game. The game may comprise chess.
Abstract:
A device for electromechanical selection of an element from a plurality of elements, according to present invention has a housing in a form of a body of a regular shape, enabling the device to take N rest positions, where N is a natural number. Each of the rest positions corresponds to one element selected from N elements, wherein the device is adapted to electrically and optically transmit data regarding trajectory of its movement and rest positions, including indications of an accelerometer connected to a position analysis and identification module. At least one proximity sensor and at least one magnetometric sensor is further placed inside the housing, and filters are connected on the signal path between the accelerometer and the sensors and position analysis and identification module. The present invention is also directed to the method of electromechanical selection of an element from a plurality of elements.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a gaming system for providing a random number, comprising a touch screen, and a control unit connected to the touch screen, wherein the control unit is configured to identify a user movement on the touch screen corresponding to an activation signal for generating a random number, provide the activation signal to a random number generator, receive a random number from the random number generator, and display the random number on the touch screen, wherein the random number generator is an externally arranged hardware random number generator configured to receive a gambling device for generating the random number. Advantages with the invention include for example increased security in relation to manual operation of a dice game.
Abstract:
A craps game apparatus includes a craps game layout and dice for generating a plurality of dice role outcomes, wherein each dice role outcome yields an integer number from 2 through 12. The craps game layout has a pass line wagering area for receiving a bet on a pass outcome. The pass outcome occurs when a dice roll outcome yields an established point number before an outcome of 7. A bonus betting location is provided for receiving a bet on a bonus outcome based on a sequence of the dice roll outcomes. The bonus outcome occurs when the sequence of dice roll outcomes includes a predetermined number of consecutive pass outcomes before a bonus bet termination event, such as a seven out or a crap out.
Abstract:
A system and method for recording and displaying craps game data is disclosed. A display positioned proximate to a craps table displays craps game data which can be manually input or acquired automatically. Manually inputting craps game data is facilitated by a remote control device in communication with the display. A scanner, camera or other image capturing means can be used to acquire dice roll outcomes which are then automatically transmitted to the display. Various displayed craps game data, including a roll history and a clock, allow players to observe whether a craps table is hot or cold. System memory permits best rolls of the day, week, month, year or all time to be displayed as well.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a games set, comprising a game board (300), at least one playing object such as a dice (200) or pawn (100), which may be brought into contact with or into the vicinity of the game board (300), the set further comprising control means (700, 120), at least one part of the extent of the game board (300) comprises means for detection of electromagnetic signals, the object comprises a memory unit (150, 250a) for storage of data information, for reading out said data in order to communicate the same, when the control means are switched on, to transmission means for electromagnetic signals which represent the data stored in memory such as to be received by the detection means (700) and then further transmitted to the central unit (1000), characterised in further comprising a touchpad (500), at least partially covering one face of the game board (300), the pad (500) being sensitive to contact on the essentially free surface thereof with a body having fixed mechanical properties and which may generate a signal relating to the contact established on the surface thereof. Said signal is transmitted to the central unit (1000), which integrates the signals received from the pad (500) and said detection means as data for the electronic game in progress. The invention further relates to game objects.
Abstract:
A wireless die (2) comprises an orientation detector (4) for determining an orientation of the die (2) and a transmitter (5) connected to the orientation detector (4) for transmitting die (2) orientation data to the receiver (3). The orientation detector (4) comprises at least two electromechanical detectors (6), the electromechanical detectors (6) being arranged for generating electrical power for the orientation detector (4) and transmitter (5), and for supplying gravity based orientation data.
Abstract:
An electronic die capable of exhibiting visual and/or sound effects is disclosed. The die retains the conventional dice-action aspect of being rolled to randomly select an upwardly facing facet. The electronic components provide entertainment effects. Electronic displays, which can include light-emitting dots, are located on the sides of the die for showing the visual effects. An electronic circuit, contained within the die, controls output of the displays. One or more batteries are also contained inside the die for powering the displays and the electronic circuit. To ensure that the die is suitable for playing dice games, the displays, electronic circuit and batteries are securely mounted to withstand the die being thrown. The die can have a hollow compartment for holding the batteries and electronic circuit, or alternatively, the die can be formed using injection molding or casting techniques to embed the electrical components in a solid plastic body.
