摘要: An alignable conformal, cup-shaped flag-mushroom fluidic nozzle assembly is engineered to generate a flat fan or sheet oscillating spray of viscous fluid product 316. The nozzle assembly includes a cylindrical flag mushroom fluidic cup member 180 having a substantially closed distal end wall with a centrally located snout defined therein. 摘要: The aim of the invention is to further develop known devices and methods for the impulse ejection of a medium. The invention therefore relates to a device (10) for the impulse ejection of a medium, comprising a medium chamber (1) holding a medium, which chamber is delimited by an ejection tube (2) and a sleeve (13), adjoining the ejection tube (2) and opposite the ejection end thereof, and a propellant chamber (5) for holding a propellant, which propellant chamber surrounds the medium chamber (1) in the region of the sleeve at least to some extent. The sleeve is designed for movement between a pressure position and an ejection position and seals, in the pressure position, the medium chamber (1) from the propellant chamber (5) at a termination (6). In the ejection position, the sleeve is spaced apart from the termination (6) so that there is a fluid connection (7) for passage of the propellant from the propellant chamber (5) to the medium chamber (1).

摘要: Methods are provided for producing an intermittent liquid jet are prowled that involve delivering a liquid through a gas dynamic nozzle, which includes an inner tube carrying the liquid, an outer tube carrying a focussing sheath gas, an exit channel and an exit aperture, injecting a stream of the liquid into the exit channel, wherein the liquid is enclosed by the focussing sheath gas in the exit channel, controlling emission of the liquid from the inner tube into the exit channel to produce a periodic, linear intermittent liquid jet including spurts of linear continuous jet sections separated by liquid-free gaps, and output of the intermittent liquid jet through the exit aperture. Furthermore, methods of scattering measurements on samples in a liquid using the method of producing an intermittent liquid jet and an injector device for producing an intermittent liquid jet are described.

摘要: An ultrasonic waterjet apparatus (10) has a mobile generator module (20) and a high-pressure water hose (40) for delivering high-pressure water from the mobile generator module (20) to a hand-held gun (50) with a trigger and an ultrasonic nozzle (60). An ultrasonic generator in the mobile generator module (20) transmits high-frequency electrical pulses to a piezoelectric or magnetostrictive transducer (62) which vibrates to modulate a high-pressure waterjet flowing through the nozzle (60). The waterjet exiting the ultrasonic nozzle (60) is pulsed into mini slugs of water, each of which imparts a waterhammer pressure on a target surface. The ultrasonic waterjet apparatus (10) may be used to cut and de-burr materials, to clean and de-coat surfaces, and to break rocks. The ultrasonic waterjet apparatus (10) performs these tasks with much greater efficiency than conventional continuous-flow waterjet systems because of the repetitive waterhammer effect. A nozzle with multiple exit orifices or a rotating nozzle (76) may be provided in lieu of a nozzle with a single exit orifice to render cleaning and de-coating large surfaces more efficient. A water dump valve (27) and controlling solenoid are located in the mobile generator module (20) rather than the gun (50) to make the gun lighter and more ergonomic.
