摘要: A piling is supported substantially horizontally upon a carrier including at least two pairs of roller wheels on at least two separate bases spaced from each other and with the piling resting upon the roller wheels. A two part spray head mixes and sprays a coating material, such as a PTMEG type material, onto a lateral surface of the piling. Elongate spray passes are followed by partial rotation of the piling upon the roller wheels and further spray passes until a full layer of coating is applied. After early layers of coating material have been applied to the piling, a squeegee is passed longitudinally against the surface while pressing against the surface, to cause a tight bond. Thereafter, additional layers of coating material are applied to achieve the desired thickness for the overall coating. Finally, the outermost surface is worked with a squeegee to produce a desired surface finish.

摘要: A method for coating at least a portion of a medical device having an interior is provided that includes holding the medical appliance from an outside surface, inserting a spray nozzle in a first opening accessing the interior of the medical appliance, and spraying the coating on an inside surface of the medical appliance with the spray nozzle. The method may include inserting a further spray nozzle in a second opening accessing the interior of the medical appliance. The spray nozzle and the further spray nozzle may be opposingly arranged to form a radial nozzle. A device adapted to hold a medical appliance is provided that includes at least two wires and a tensioning arrangement adapted to introduce tension into the two wires. The at least two wires may be adapted to support the medical appliance from an exterior of the medical appliance. An apparatus for coating an interior of a medical appliance is provided. A medical appliance having a differential coating applied by the method is provided. An apparatus for coating an exterior of a medical appliance is provided.

摘要: A method for coating a substrate (10) includes rotating the substrate (10) about an axis, and applying a polymeric reaction mixture to a surface of the rotating substrate by ejecting the polymeric reaction mixture through a die (100). The die (100) has a branched system of channels for dividing an inlet stream of the polymeric reaction mixture into plural outlet streams. The outlet streams are spaced apart from each other such that the outlet streams flow together seamlessly after application to the substrate. The die (100) and the rotating substrate (10) are moved longitudinally relative to each other. And the material output rate of the mixture and the relative movement of the die (100) are synchronized with the rotational speed of the substrate (10) in such a way that successive convolutions of polymeric reaction mixture overlap and connect together seamlessly.
