Abstract:
A spraying system (100) may be used for applying a coating fluid onto a cellulosic mixture. The spraying system may include a conveyor (120) and spraying apparatus (200). The conveyor (120) may include a cellulosic mixture contacting surface and may be moveable in a conveying direction (122). The spraying apparatus (200) may be operable to deliver coating fluid towards the cellulosic mixture contacting surface. The spraying apparatus (200) may include at least one primary spray nozzle (240) and at least one secondary spray nozzle (250). Each of the at least one primary spray nozzles may be oriented such that it can deliver the coating fluid in a first spray generally opposite the conveying direction (122). Each of the at least one secondary spray nozzles may be oriented such that it can deliver the coating fluid in a second spray generally concurrent with the conveying direction (122).
Abstract:
A prosthetic heart valve includes a base and a plurality of polymeric leaflets. Each leaflet has a root portion coupled to the base, and each leaflet has an edge portion substantially opposite the root portion and movable relative to the root portion to coapt with a respective edge portion of at least one of the other leaflets of the plurality of leaflets. Each leaflet includes) at least two polymers along at least one portion of the leaflet, and each leaflet has a composition gradient of each of the at least two polymers along at least one portion of the leaflet.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for applying an organic coating on a moving metal strip. According to the invention the organic coating is applied on the moving metal strip in a continuous annealing process line (CAPL) after the annealing section of the CAPL, using a spray disc technology to apply the organic coating. The invention also relates to an apparatus for applying an organic coating on a moving metal strip.
Abstract:
Abstract:
The present invention includes a cable having reduced surface friction and the method of manufacture thereof having steps in which a conductor wire is coated with a plastic material and in which the plastic material is cooled, and includes a step in which the lubricating material is applied to the surface of the cable. The cable includes at least one conductor core and at least one coating of plastic material and incorporates a lubricating material on the exterior coating. The equipment for the manufacturing of electrical cable includes a reel for supplying a conductor wire to an extruding head, which is connected to a tank containing plastic material for coating the conducting wire, a reel for taking up the cable, and a device for the application of a lubricating material onto the surface of the cable.
Abstract:
A device is provided for holding an appliance (10) from an interior that may include a center support shaft (17), two arbors arranged on the center support shaft in a spaced apart position, a plurality of springs (21) coupled to the two arbors (25, 26), and an actuator coupled to the center support shaft and adapted to decrease the distance between the two arbors. The device may be adapted to support a hollow cylindrical object from an inside of the hollow cylindrical object. The hollow cylindrical object may include a stent. When the actuator is actuated, the plurality of springs may be compressed and each spring may buckle in at least one buckle region. Actuating the actuator may cause the plurality of springs to expand and to clamp a stent. Deactuating the actuator may cause the plurality of springs to retract and to release a stent. A system for coating a medical appliance is provided. A method for coating a medical appliance is provided.
