A method of preparing an aluminum mold for injection molding is provided, the method comprises the steps of providing an aluminum mold having a least one surface, subjecting the at least one surface to a gas or liquid phase silane to thereby form an anti-stiction coating, the anti-stiction coating comprising a chemically bonded monolayer of silane compounds on the at least one surface wherein the silane is a halogenated silane. The at least one surface coated with the anti-stiction coating may be configured to withstand an injection molding process at a pressure above 100 MPa. Furthermore, a mold having at least one closed cavity is provided, at least one surface of the at least one cavity being an aluminium surface coated with a silane based coating layer. The silane based anti-stiction coating improves the anti-stiction properties of the mold which may allow for molding and demolding of structures which would otherwise be difficult to mold. The resistance of the coated aluminium mold is significantly improved by applying a silane-based coating layer.

L'invention vise principalement un procédé pour rendre un moule en matériau composite anti-adhérent, comprenant les étapes de : (i) fourniture d'un moule en matériau composite composite comprenant une résine époxyde; (ii) application d'une poudre de polymère fluoré présentant une température minimale de filmification inférieure à 300°C et une tenue en température supérieure à 200°C sur les parois du moule afin de former une couche; et (iii) chauffage de la couche obtenue à une température comprise entre 260°C et 300°C afin de former un film continu, ce par quoi on obtient un moule en matériau composite dont les parois sont munies d'un revêtement anti-adhérent. Elle vise par ailleurs également le moule susceptible d'être obtenu par ce procédé.

A method of manufacture of products from geopolymer composite shaped in a mold which is filled by casting of geopolymer composite in form of a precursor and after its hardening the casting is taken out from the mold and the casting surface is provided with a metallic layer. Before metal-plating casting surface with absorption capacity greater than 5 % is treated to make it chemically stable so that pH of a leachate from 100 g of the bulk product in 1000 g distilled water after 24 hours does not exceed 9. In order to reduce the absorption capacity of the casting surface it is penetrated with polymer substances or particles of a non-porous filler are added into the geopolymer composite in the precursor state. The metallic layer on the casting surface is made by a method from the group of methods that include vacuum deposition, vacuum sputtering, galvanization, cold metal spraying, dip coating in melted metal, plasma spraying of melted metal, deposition of metal from metal salt solution or colloid solution or sintering of powder metal.

There are described a method for applying a coating to a surface of an ophthalmic lens mold. The mold comprises male and female (20) mold halves, with each of the mold halves being provided with a lens forming surface (21). The method includes - applying a temporary coating to at least a portion of at least one of the male and female mold halves (20), the temporary coating being capable of reducing adhesive forces between a lens forming material and the lens forming surface (21); and - drying the temporary coating applied to the portion of the lens forming surface (21). Also described is a device (1) for applying such temporary coating to the portion of the lens forming surface (21) of the ophthalmic lens mold.
