Die Erfindung betrifft eine Positioniereinrichtung (203) für ein Handschweißgerät (300), insbesondere für ein Kunststoffschweißgerät, umfassend zumindest eine dem Handschweißgerät (300) zugeordnete Andruckblende (16) und einem dem zu verschweißenden Material zugeordneten Positionierring (3). Um eine exakte Verschweißung durchzuführen und ein nachträgliches Verrutschen des Handschweißgerätes (300) zu vermeiden, ist erfindungsgemäß vorgesehen, dass der Positionierring (3) auf dem zu verschweißenden Material festlegbar ist und eine in den Positionierring (3) einsetzbare Andruckblende (16) einen über den Umfang gleichmäßig verteilten Druck auf die zu verschweißenden Materialien überträgt, um eine sichere großflächige Verschweißung zu ermöglichen.

In a filling machine for sealing packages, use is made of a counter jaw arrangement (10) for a heat-generating jaw (13). The counter jaw arrangement (10) includes a counter body (20) and a carrier arm (30) for supporting the counter body (20). The counter body (20) is suspended at suspension devices (11, 12) rotatably about its longitudinal axis (l) for alignment with the heat-generating jaw (13). In their turn, the suspension devices (11, 12) are moveably connected to the carrier arm (30) and adapted for movement in a plane which is parallel with the longitudinal axis (l) of the counter body.

An apparatus and method that produces recording media using at least two platens (16, 18). A first platen (16) is movable relative to a second platen(18), and each platen has respective first and second support surfaces onto which substrates (12, 14) are placed, the first and second substrates each having inner and outer longitudinal surfaces. A centering device (19) aligns the respective substrates relative to a one or more reference positions, a positioning system (32) provides a degree of parallelism between the outer longitudinal surfaces of each of the substrates (12, 14) and produces a desired gap between the inner longitudinal surfaces of the substrates(12, 14) , and a dispensing unit which emits a liquid medium within the gap between inner longitudinal surfaces of the substrates.

A plastic card, such as an IC card, that allows correct collation and welding of card composing sheets by a simple installation and that does not substantially have strain or twist. Superposed card composing sheets (19a−19d) are formed with a round hole (17) and long holes (18) at corresponding places, and a positioning pin (21) is passed through each hole. At this time, the long holes (18), which have play with respect to the positioning pins (21), accommodate strains or twists in the card composing sheets, avoiding a shear in printing or the like to improve the external appearance, preventing mechanical strength from decreasing due to residual stress.

A seal bar assembly which includes a support structure (21), and at least a first seal bar segment (22) and a second seal bar segment (223) mounted substantially parallel to each other on the support structure. The seal bar segments define a gap (28) therebetween. Each seal bar segment has two ends, with mounting means (26) positioned proximate to each end of both the first and second seal bar segments for mounting the ends of the seal bar segments to the support structure. The mounting means are adapted to permit one or both ends of each seal bar segment to move toward or away from the support structure, but the mounting means do not permit the seal bar segments to significantly move transversely with respect to each other. In this manner, the seal bar segments remain substantially parallel to each other, and the gap between the seal bar segments is maintained substantially constant.
