Abstract:
A combined height and tilt adjustment mechanism (10) for a vehicle seat which enables separate adjustment of the height of a forward part of the seat and an aft part of the seat, thereby enabling independent height and tilt adjustment of the seat. The mechanism comprises: a forward crank (40) for coupling to a seat base (15) and adapted to displace the forward part of the seat base in a substantially vertical direction by rotation of the forward crank about a first axis (34, 35), said forward crank being coupled to a first linear positioning device (70) for releasably locking the position of said forward crank; and an aft crank (50) for coupling to the seat base (15) and adapted to displace the aft part of the seat base in a substantially vertical direction by rotation of the aft crank about a second axis (36, 37), said aft crank being coupled to a second linear positioning device (80) for releasably locking the position of said aft crank.
Abstract:
The subject of the solution according to the invention is the method of fixing the sitting position by a passenger in a seat assembly especially in mass transport by changing the position of the seat assembly (1) from the starting position, the change depending on the weight and centre of gravity of the passenger, by releasing the blockade of the supporting system (4) with a button (2) and relocating the seat assembly from the starting position, by a linear and rotating movement, without changing the height of the edge of the seat base, to another position dependent on anthropometric features; in this method the linear horizontal relocation by at least 100 mm changes the position of the seat assembly by at least 8° angle, and the return of the seat assembly (1) to the basic position takes place after the release of the brake (2) of the supporting system (4) and the active participation of the passenger.
Abstract:
An automotive seat adjustment assembly (22) is adapted for raising and lowering a seat cushion (12). The adjustment assembly comprises a pair of front mounting brackets (24) supporting a forward end (16) of a seat cushion (12) and a pair of rear mounting brackets (26) supporting a rearward end (18) of the seat cushion (12). A pair of front seat supports (36) are rotatably mounted to the front mounting brackets (24) and are secured to the forward end (16) of the seat cushion (12). Similarly, a pair of rear seat supports (38) are rotatably mounted to the rear mounting brackets (26) and are secured to the rearward end (18) of the seat cushion (12). The front and rear seat supports are movable between a first position with the seat cushion in a lowered orientation and a second position with the seat cushion in a raised orientation. A pair of drive plates (40) interconnect the rear mounting brackets (26) with the corresponding rear seat supports (38). A drive arm (44) is mounted to one of the drive plates (40) and is movable between actuated and non-actuated positions for moving the rear seat supports (38) between the first and second positions to move the seat cushion (12) between the lowered and raised orientations. A sector gear (56) is connected to the other end of the drive arm (44) for selectively moving the drive arm (44) between the actuated and non-actuated positions to move the rear seat supports (38) and the seat cushion (12).
Abstract:
A reclining seat comprising a seat base (10) and a backrest (11), wherein the seat base is mounted on a support structure move able along at least one guide path (16, 17) whereby the seat base is move able between upright and reclined use or seating positions and a retracted state, control means being provided for controlling movement of the seat base along said at least one guide path, preferably with infinite adjustment, between said upright and reclined seating positions.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a device for displacing a vehicle seat, the position of which can be adjusted by means of one or more gear motors (8, 38, 41, 42), wherein said gear motors (8, 38, 41, 42) can be actuated by means of a control device (24). A vehicle seat substructure (3, 32, 45) is mounted on at least three points by means of driven lifting spindles (16), driven swinging arms (28, 39, 40) or sliding fixtures (34, 35, 43), wherein at least one bearing point (16, 29, 34) can be varied relative to the other remaining bearing points of the vehicle seat in such a way that spherical displacement of the seat occurs.
Abstract:
A vehicle seat (1) comprises a squab (3) and a backrest (2), with the backrest (2) being tiltable relative to the squab (3). A pulley wheel (21) is mounted to the backrest (2) and is connected to one end of an inner wire (22) of a Bowden cable (23). The Bowden cable (23) has an outer sheath (24) which is fixed relative to the squab (3). The other end of the inner wire (22) of the Bowden cable (23) is attached to an indicator element (26) and the indicator element (26) is moveable along a measurement unit (27). The measurement unit (27) is connected, via a processor (28), to a control unit (30) which controls an air-bag unit (29). If the backrest (2) is tilted rearwardly, the inner wire (22) is wound at least partly around the pulley wheel (21), pulling the indicator element (26) rearwardly along the measurement unit (27). The measurement unit (27) outputs a signal to the processor (28) and the processor (28) determines the distance between the backrest (2) and the air-bag unit (29) and provides a signal to the control unit (30) so that the control unit (30) may control the deployment of the air- bag unit (29) in dependence upon the distance between the backrest (2) and the air-bag unit (29).
Abstract:
A food analysis system (2) comprises an analysis sub-system (4) for generating measurement data from a food or a food component (12) and a cooperable computer sub- system (6) for processing the so generated data to determine an indication of a compositional characteristic of the food or food component (12) . The system (2) further comprises a handheld remote user interface (20) , such as may be provided by a suitably configured mobile telephone, adapted to establish a wireless telecommunication link with one or both the analysis sub- system (4) and the computer sub-system (6) and which is cooperable therewith to provide a user with a message indicating the results of the determination.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a device for adjusting a vehicle seat whose frame structure (4, 5, 6) can be adjusted by means of drive motors (40) with geared units (39) that are mounted in front of said drive motors, and the vehicle seat is accommodated on two parallel seat rails (1, 2). The frame structure (4, 5, 6) of the vehicle seat can be spherically adjusted into two different levels by lifting elements (8, 9, 10).
