Die Erfindung betrifft ein planenförmiges Schutzelement (1) für eine Rückenlehne eines Fahrzeugsitzes (20, 28), mit wenigstens einem einstückig mit dem Schutzelement (1) ausgebildeten Befestigungshaken zur Befestigung des Schutzelements (1) an einer Strebenstruktur (22) eines Fahrzeugsitzes (20, 28), wobei das Schutzelement (1) wenigstens eine freigeschnittene und mit einem freien Ende (13, 14, 17,18) aus einer Ebene des Schutzelements (1) herausgebogene oder herausbiegbare Lasche (10, 11; 15, 16) zur Bildung des Befestigungshakens aufweist. Es ist vorgesehen, dass die Lasche (10, 16) einen Rückhalteabschnitt (29, 30) zum Arretieren der Lasche (10, 16) an der Strebenstruktur (22) aufweist.

A lumbar support for use with a seating device is disclosed. The lumbar support includes a collapsible frame assembly configured to assume an operative configuration and a compact configuration. The lumbar support further includes a plurality of frame members that are assembled in the operative configuration and disassembled in the compact configuration. The lumbar support further includes a flexible foldable web that is tensioned across the frame assembly when the lumbar support is in the operative configuration.

A vehicle seat includes a seat back having a support frame coupled to a seat foundation. The seat back also further includes a deformable seat shell adapted to assume various shapes between initial position and final positions in response to variable rearward loads applied by a seated passenger. The seat shell is coupled to the support frame by a compliant shell-motion controller via upper and lower motion-control links. The motion-control links allow pivotal motion, and at least one of the links includes a spheroidal joint. A link foundation extends between and interconnects the upper and lower motion-control links and is coupled to the support frame so that the link foundation does not move during seat shell deformation. The shell-motion controller may be pre-assembled as part of a backrest or the motion-control links may be formed after the link foundation is attached to the support frame.

The control device (200) has an evaluation unit (A) for evaluating a signal output by a force sensor (S; S1, S2) which measures a mechanical force acting on a predetermined region of the vehicle seat (100). The control device (200) is configured to control the adjustment device (150) of the vehicle seat (100) as a function of the result of the evaluation by means of the evaluation unit (A). The evaluation unit (A) is configured to provide the evaluation as a function of a temporal rising gradient of the force measured by the force sensor (S; S1, S2).

The invention relates to a support (20) with a backrest adjuster device (10), for a motor vehicle seat, embodied for arrangement in an assembly position in a seat backrest frame (30) of a motor vehicle with a back support (32) for supporting the back of a seat user. The support comprises a front face (22), which, in the assembly position, faces the back of a seat user. A backrest adjuster device (10) is arranged on the front face (22) of the support (20), embodied for adjustment of the position of the back support (32), perpendicular to the plane of the extension of the seat backrest frame (30). The backrest adjuster device (10) comprises at least one adjuster element (11 ; 11 ") which may be brought into a working connection with the backrest and at least one slide (12'; 12"), which may be displaced relative to the adjuster element which cooperate such that, on movement of the slide (12'; 12"), the adjuster element (11 ; 11 ") is adjusted with a directional component at right angles to the direction of movement of the slide (12'; 12") and hence acts in this direction upon the back support (32). The invention relates to an anatomically deformable support, especially a lordosis support, for seats, couches or the like, comprising a frame (5) which is connected to an anatomically effective support part (1) that can be arched in a reversible manner, and comprising a side (A) which is oriented toward the user and which can be covered by a pad part. A side (B) located opposite side (A) comprises seats (12, 13, 15) for cylinders, e.g. wires (2, 9, 14), that have essentially circular cross-sections. The cylinders having essentially circular cross-sections can be preferably deformed in an elastic manner in the longitudinal direction thereof, and the support part (1) is connected indirectly and/or directly to the frame (5). The seats (12, 13, 15) have an opening on at least one end area (10, 11), especially on at least one end of the support part (1). The clearance (a) of the opening, when viewed in a manner that is perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the essentially circular cylinder, is less than the diameter (d) thereof, whereby at least two adjacent seats (15), when viewed in a manner that is transversal to the longitudinal direction of the essentially circular cylinder, are provided for accommodating each essentially circular cylinder (9, 14). The seats are configured with a common thick rib (16) which is rigid at the distal end thereof and are each configured with a rib (17) which can be elastically bent.

An adjustable backrest for supporting a human back comprising a straight spine member; a lumbar support member projecting from the straight spine member; a back pad resting on the lumbar support member for supporting the human back; means for adjusting curvature of the lumbar support member and means for providing side-to-side mobility of the back pad to accommodate twisting movement of the human back. In one embodiment, means are provided for adjusting curvature of an upper back portion of the back pad to accommodate different shapes of the human back.
