Abstract:
A system and method for applying plastic strapping to bales of material. A strap track assembly comprises a frame, a track, and a flap assembly. The frame is frame sized and configured to permit a bale of material to pass therethrough. The track is coupled to and positioned along an inner surface of the frame, with the track sized and configured to house a length of strapping material therein. The flap assembly is operatively connected to a portion of track positioned along a lower portion of the frame, with the flap assembly including a first flap in selective contact with a second flap. The first flap may be constructed of a metallic material, and the second strap may be constructed of an elastomeric material such as rubber. A debris cover may be operatively connected to a front surface of the frame, with a portion of the debris cover positioned above at least a portion of the track so as to inhibit individual pieces of baled material from contacting the flap assembly and/or the track. Individual plates may be operatively connected to and extend away from an exit portion of an associated baler.

Means (21) are provided for spreading an adhesive on the sealing band (B), which are located at the means (11) for applying the sealing band (B).
Abstract:
A device (1) configured for arranging a band (2) of flexible material, in particular paper or plastic, around at least one product (4), said device comprising a supply mechanism for supplying band material (2) from a supply roll (3), means for forming a loop in an end portion of the band material (2) around a space for receiving the product (4), means for severing said end portion and welding means for closing the loop, wherein the means for forming the loop comprise conveying means (6) for the band material, which are movable around the space, and suction means connected to the conveying means, wherein the conveying means are accommodated in an arc (7) arranged around the space, characterised in that a part of the arc (7) with part of the conveying means (6) present therein is movable between an open position, in which the product (4) can be placed into the space (8) for receiving the same, and a closed position, in which the band (2) can be arranged in the arc (7) and around the space (8).
Abstract:
A twister assembly for use in connection with bundling one or more objects with a length of wire may cut, grip, eject, and twist the length of wire. The twister assembly includes a main shaft driven by a main shaft motor and a twister shaft driven by a twister motor. The main shaft may be operatively coupled to a gripping mechanism, which is operable between an open and a closed position, a cutting mechanism, and an ejector mechanism. The twister shaft may be operatively coupled to a twisting mechanism, where the twisting mechanism includes a plurality of gears configured to rotate a twister pinion. The twister pinion is further configured to engage the length of wire and twist a portion of the length of wire to form a knot. Related twister assemblies and methods are also provided.

Abstract:
A means for binding wire around an object. The means comprises a feeding unit (2) with a feeding wheel (11) for feeding and stretching the wire (3). The measuring of fed wire length normally takes place in that the feeding wheel (11) rotates through a predetermined number of revolutions. Sliding between the wire (3) and feeding wheel (11), however, implies that the position of the wire cannot be determined accurately. As a solution of this problem a separate measuring means (5) is provided for continuously measuring the fed wire length (3), where the measuring is carried out without the measuring means (5) feeding the wire (3).
