The invention provides an apparatus (10) for packaging a pasty food product such as processed cheese, stock cubes, butter, margarine and the like, by wrapping each product in a respective wrapper. The apparatus comprises a mounting frame (12), means (14) for feeding the packages being formed and application means (16) for applying the cover sheets on the packages and which in turn comprise means (18) for mounting a respective roll of material (19). The means (18) for mounting the roll of material (19) are located on the side of the feed means (14) opposite the mounting frame (12) so as to maximize accessibility and facilitate the work of personnel in charge.

The invention concerns an atmospheric package for a pasty product with a generally cylindrical shape and comprising a substantially cylindrical centre sleeve (3) having at least a ridge (36), a base (5) and a cover (6) closing the centre sleeve at its lower (7) and upper (8) ends. The centre sleeve is formed from a strip provided with an opening tab whereof one tip (30) for grasping projects from one edge (31) of the strip. The strip is wound on itself with the tip for grasping the opening tab located outside the sleeve (3). Said strip edge (31) is arranged in the proximity of said ridge (36) and the tip (30) for grasping the opening tab extends from said edge (31) beyond the ridge (36). The invention is useful for packaging processed cheese.

A packaging method and machine for packaging extrudible soft or doughy products, having any desired shapes, such as triangular pieces of processed cheese to be collected into circular packages, for example of eight pieces of processed cheese, wherein from a production strip (8) for providing shell die-cut portions (3), said die-cut portions (3) are cut-out with a longitudinal axis (A) perpendicular to the longitudinal axis (B) of the strip (8), thereby, in the die-cut portions (3), the tapering end (3A) therefrom the free ends (7) of the tearable small strips (6) project is directly formed by an edge (5) of the production strip (8). The shearing or cutting station (11) is directly arranged above the movable supports (16, 17) supporting the die-cut portions (3) for conveying them to the following processing stations, respectively, by a rotation through, for example 90°, and a corresponding fitting to the processing pitch (S) of a pair of shell die-cut portions (3), thereby simplifying the packaging machine and enhancing the synchronization rate of the machine operating cycles, with a consequent increase of the packaging machine production rate.

The invention relates to a method and a device for forminggroups (G) of packages (12a, 12b, 12c, 12d, 12e, 12f) of a pasty product, in particular, wrapped processed cheese portions, to be packed in cartons or boxes. The packages (12a, 12b, 12c, 12d, 12e, 12f) are each in the form of a solid having a first side wall (14) and a second side wall (16) and a rear wall or heel end (20), the group (G) being formed by moving the packages close together and placing them in contact with each other. According to the invention, the packages are first of all arranged in a spaced10 apart configuration, where they are distributed peripherally around the grouping area with each package separated from the others by a certain space, and then moved into contact with each other to form the required group.

In a machine for wrapping a pasty, liquid or semi-liquid product, and in particular, a processed cheese or similar product, the wrapper is made from a flat sheet that is folded to form a shell-like body or container, and another flat sheet placed over the shell to form the wrapper cover. The machine comprises a supporting frame (12), means for preparing the wrapper sheets including means (14, 16) for cutting the sheets from a respective web of material unwound from a roll, means for preparing the cover sheets (C) including means (70) for cutting the sheets (C) from a respective web (74) of material (72) unwound from a roll (74), means (38) for folding each wrapper sheet to form a shell; means (39) for filling the product into the shell, and means for closing the shell including means (48) for placing over the shell a corresponding cover sheet cut by the cutting means (70). In the machine according to the invention, the means (70) for cutting the cover sheets (C) are located well away from the means (39) for filling the product into the wrapper shell.

L'invention concerne un emballage individuel (1) pour produit alimentaire pâteux (P), par exemple à base de fromage fondu ou de cacao, caractérisé en ce qu'il présente une forme pyramidale et est muni d'au moins un organe d'arrachage (45) disposé le long d'au moins deux côtés d'un triangle (17) formant une face latérale de la pyramide pour permettre d'accéder au produit (P) par déchirement de sensiblement la totalité de ladite face. La pyramide est à base carrée, triangulaire ou rectangulaire. L'invention se rapporte également à un procédé de fabrication d'un tel emballage.

L'invention se rapporte à un procédé de fabrication d'un emballage (1) pour un produit alimentaire pâteux, à base par exemple de fromage fondu ou de cacao, consistant à réaliser une partie de l'emballage sous la forme d'une pyramide à fond ouvert à l'aide d'une feuille plate, placer la partie d'emballage par son sommet dans un moule de remplissage présentant sensiblement la même forme en creux, couler le produit alimentaire pâteux dans la partie d'emballage sur une hauteur inférieure à celle de la pyramide, placer un film de forme appropriée au-dessus du produit pour former le fond de la pyramide, replier les bords libres périphériques de la partie d'emballage sur le film de fond pour le maintenir, et retirer du moule l'emballage pyramidal (1) ainsi formé.

Gezeigt wird ein Verfahren zum portionierten Verpacken einer zumindest im wesentlichen inkornpressiblen Lebensmitielmasse, insbesondere von Schmelzkäse, die als fließfähige Masse in eine schlauchförmige Umhüllung, aufweisend eine thermoplastische Kunststoffolie, eingefüllt wird, wobei die thermoplastische Kunststofffolie der die Lebensmitlelmasse umgebenden Umhüllung unter Verdrängung der Lebensmittelmasse aus Siegelbereichen zu einzelnen jeweils eine Portion definierenden Einheiten in einer Form umgeformt wird, dass die hintereinander angeordneten Einheiten durch Versiegelung im Siegelbereich gegeneinander abgegrenzt und anschließend voneinander getrennt werden.
