La présente invention concerne une boîte, un flan, un ensemble de flans de matière en feuille de carton ondulé et un procédé de formation d'une boîte présentant une section polygonale. La boîte comporte au moins une languette (7) de centrage à cheval sur au moins une ligne de pliage (4) de sa paroi supérieure (2), découpée sur ses cotés latéraux (8), reliée d'un côté à la paroi supérieure (2) par une première ligne de jonction (10) et de l'autre côté à la paroi latérale adjacente (5) par une seconde ligne de jonction (6), une ligne de pliage intermédiaire (14) parallèle et décalée étant prévue de sorte que la languette (7) forme une portion en saillie (16) du fait du pliage. Le fond comprend au moins une portion de surface ajourée (18) de forme complémentaire à celle de la languette telle que les bords latéraux de l'évidement sont agencés pour coopérer à contact avec les bords latéraux de ladite languette, et agencée pour s'encastrer dans la portion en saillie d'une boîte du dessous.

The disclosure relates to a method and apparatus for manufacturing a package with a rigid or semi-rigid container and a polymeric or plastic header with a reclosure, such as a zipper. The rigid or semi-rigid container is typically provided in a stack of flat containers. The header is sealed, glued or otherwise secured to the containers. The container, typically inverted, is filled, and the bottom is formed by folding and sealing the bottom portion of the container.

An easily openable package (10) defining an interior product storage region, includes first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth side panels (30-44) forming an eight-sided body (14). Each side panel is separate from adjacent side panels by respective crease lines (76, 90). The side panels define an octagonal upper periphery. A bottom wall (16) is formed from a plurality of panels (46-52) separated from the side panels by a horizontal crease line (94). The bottom wall has a four-sided foot print, defining four bottom wall corners (54-60). An eight-sided polymeric lid (12) is affixed to the package (10) at the upper periphery. The lid (12) has an openable portion (18) such that the interior product storage region is accessed by opening the openable portion of the lid. A method for forming the package is also disclosed.

A container includes a tube (20) having a rim at one end defining an opening and an endcap (40,80) including a channel that is shaped to receive the tube rim. The tube includes at least one latching aperture (30,32) positioned such that when the tube rim is seated in the channel, the latching aperture is contained within the channel. The endcap further includes a latching member (44) that engages the latching aperture when the tube rim is seated in the receiving channel. The latching member includes a sloped surface (62) for deflecting the tube rim to allow the tube rim to be slid into position over the latching member. The endcap further includes a first guide fin assembly (46) on a first side of the latching member and a second guide fin assembly (48) on a second side of the latching member. Each of the first and second guide fin assemblies includes a sloped surface shaped to deflect the tube rim in a direction opposite to the deflection of the tube rim by the latching member when the tube rim is slid into position in the channel, and to maintain the engagement of the latching aperture by the latching member when the tube rim is seated in the channel.

The container may include a paperboard box having a front wall, a rear wall, a pair of opposed side walls, a plurality of flaps capable of forming a bottom wall and a plurality of flaps capable of forming a top wall. The inside surfaces of the box walls, including the outwardly facing strips, may have a thermal plastic coating thereon. The bag component of each type of assembly may include a closure member for to enable resealing of the bag component.
