Abstract:
Abstract:
A can (1) formed from an unfolded foldable cylinder (2) having at least two folding edges (3). The folding edges (3) are formed and arranged such that the foldable cylinder (2) can be flattened for transport prior to the insertion of a closure member. The foldable cylinder (2) is preferably unfolded and tightly sealed with at least one closure member at a first cylinder end region immediately before filling. By connecting the closure member to the foldable cylinder(2), the cylinder (2) is given a desired shape or cross section, at least in the region of the closure member. After the cylinder (2) is filled, a further closure member is sealed to a second cylinder end region to seal the can and to impart the desired shape to the cylinder in the second end region, too.
Abstract:
Abstract:
A tubular container (1) comprises a first tubular member (2) and a second tubular member (3). The first tubular member (2) has a cylindrical wall (4), a base (7) closing the cylindrical wall (4) at the bottom thereof, and a line of weakness (10) located intermediate the ends of the cylindrical wall (4). The second tubular member (3) has a cylindrical wall (5) and a top (9) closing the cylindrical wall (5) at one end thereof. The tubular members (2, 3) are telescopically arranged with the first tubular member (2) extending into the second tubular member so that the line of weakness (10) of the cylindrical wall (4) of the first tubular member (2) is located within the cylindrical wall (5) of the second tubular member (3). An adhesive (11) secures a portion of the cylindrical wall (4) of the first tubular member (2) located remote from the base (7) relative to the line of weakness to a portion of the cylindrical wall (5) of the second tubular member (3) so as to prevent said portion being removed from the second tubular member (3). In this way, in order to gain access to the contents of the container (1), the line of weakness (10) must be broken.
Abstract:
A container (10) formed from a flexible material. The container (10) includes an open end (10a), a closed end (10b) and at least one sidewall (12) having a seam of interlocking tabs (18) and openings (20) formed therein.

Abstract:
The present invention relates to a novel beverage container and a mechanism for securing a cap to the container within an automated kiosk. The container comprises a compostable shell, beverage bag, and other components. The beverage bag is sealed to a closure shoulder using a mechanical sealing ring, optionally without the use of using heat, glue or ultrasonic energy. The cap is secured to the closure shoulder by the mechanism within the kiosk.
Abstract:
A biodegradable and compostable container for fluids achieves an environmentally friendly look and feel by minimizing the amount of bioplastic component parts that are visible and by maximizing the visibility of component parts made of water-permeable, biodegradable, and compostable material(s). The container includes one or more bioplastic junction pieces that are shaped and positioned to line and seal seams between container wall(s) and a base of the container, container wall(s) and a top of the container, or both. Thus, the one or more bioplastic junction pieces provide water-impermeable barriers at seams in the container where leakage is most likely to occur. The interior of the walls and the cover of the container are coated in one or more biodegradable, water-impermeable materials to ensure that fluid contained in the interior volume is not permitted to pass therethrough, while the resulting container as a whole remains compostable.
Abstract:
A can (1) comprising a circumferential wall (3), a first end wall (12) and a second end wall (5), which can is filled with a liquid, such as paint, ~) containing at least 3% volatile organic substances, wherein said circumferential wall consists of a laminate, which laminate, viewed from the outside to the inside, comprises at least one layer of cardboard, an adhesive layer, a layer of a metal foil, and a layer of plastic material.
