A pouch type package for fluid contents, comprising two opposite flexible side walls (2, 3) forming a top corner portion (6) which is provided with an opening initiation (7) along which a tab (8) is to be separated for opening of the package. The opening initiation (7) comprises a first tear line (12) provided in a first (2) of the two opposite flexible side walls (2, 3) and a second tear line (3) provided in a second (3) of the two opposite flexible side walls (2, 3). The first and second tear lines (12, 13) extend in an at least partly non-overlapping manner from a common starting point such that a wall section (18) of an inner surface of the first side wall (2) is exposed after separation of the tab (8). The invention also relates to a method of adaptation of a pouch type package (1) for enabling insertion of a straw (20).

The present invention concerns apparatus for a beverage container comprising an integrated straw having an upstanding section 8, a spirally wound section 7 and a downwardly depending section 9, wherein the spirally wound section is formed of resilient material whereby in a collapsed state it is provided substantially within a cap body, the spirally wound section being deployable from the cap body to allow the upstanding section of the straw to move away from the cap body.

A combination package (10) for both an ingestible product, such as a medication (12), and a beverage (14), such as water, is of a unitary, single-use design. The medication and the beverage, of which only a small amount is provided, can be stored in separate sealed cavities defined by the package. The combination package can be designed so as to be easily and conveniently hung from a display rack in a store. A consumer can open the package to gain access to each cavity and can then orally consume the medication and then wash it down with the beverage.

The invention relates to the food industry, in particular to a container for beverages comprising a mouthpiece body for comfortably and hygienically consuming beverages directly form said container. The mouthpiece is interfaced by the cylindrical base thereof with the mating surface of a plug which is provided with two through holes one of which is connected to a straw-pipe arranged inside the body, the other hole being used in the form of an anti-vacuum hole. The mouthpiece in the storage position thereof hermetically closes the output of both holes of the plug by the cylindrical base thereof. When the mouthpiece is in the operating position, the hole which is connected to the straw-pipe coincides with the output hole of the mouthpiece channel arranged on the base thereof, thereby forming a single line from the straw-pipe to a consumer. The anti-vacuum hole opens for a free air access into the container. The inventive mouthpiece is protected from damage and impurities by the basic part of a nozzle and by a lid. Said invention improves the operational properties of the container.

Abstract:
The invention relates to the increasing popularity of ready made dishes, especially fast food dishes. The aim of the invention is not merely to satisfy human requirements of food but to respond to their requirements in terms of entertainment, financial security and increased leisure time. The packaging can be used for the distribution of non-food products. Said packaging jointly comprises 7 different products which can be marketed on an individual basis. The disposable packagings can be kept ready for use in a vending machine and/or domestic variation thereof wherein several menus and drinks can be selected and in which the final preparation of the foodstuff(s) can, for instance, take place by microwave heating; whereupon purchaser is subsequently provided with the selected composition in said packaging. According to the invention, the machine is fitted with a novel payment system. The inventive packaging is a multi-purpose product which is mainly used to wrap foodstuffs. The invention can also be used in a plurality of additional ways which increase the value and attractivity of the packaging, thereby making said product more attractive to the consumer. .

A method and device for preventing unintended liquid flow from drinking containers are achieved by means of securing an inner tube (29) provided with a bellows (4) within an outer tube (1) and terminating one end of the inner tube (29) as a valve (70, 70’), whereby the suction force from the user provides a pressure difference across the bellows (4), causing the bellows (4) to move the valve (70, 70’) with sufficient force to open. When the suction force ceases, the valve (70, 70’) closes, and it remains closed, even when the liquid in the drinking container (61) is pressurized with pressure (P3).
