Abstract:
A process to assemble an arrangement of a snack and a beverage container, along with promotional material, all mountable 4 into a standard vending machine slot (use language of claim) within the product storage area previously occupied by a beverage container or a snack alone performed during the normal replenishment maintenance of the vending machine product storage area or off-the shelf also occuping the same space as a beverage container alone. Said assembly consisting of placing a snack product prepackaged to surround the top of a beverage container, engaging a retaining device capable of holding the snack in place during the dispensing of the combination yet allowing easy disassembly of the combination by the consumer after retrieval of the combination from the external area of a vending machine after the combination has been released from the product storage area upon payment of sufficient currency and selection of the product or purchased off-the shelf. The retaining device of a disk and bottle cap attachment may be replaced with a containment cage surrounding the snack and beverage container. Preselected promotional material may be printed on the retaining device disk as well as on the containment cage. According to the invention, the machine is fitted with a novel payment system. The inventive packaging is a multi-purpose product which is mainly used to wrap foodstuffs. The invention can also be used in a plurality of additional ways which increase the value and attractivity of the packaging, thereby making said product more attractive to the consumer. .
Abstract:
A cartonless packaging system is provided which significantly reduces packaging waste and includes a container (12) for containing a liquid and a nozzle (14) disposed in one end of the container (12) for dispensing of the liquid from the container (12). A cap (20) is provided for enclosing the nozzle (14), and the cap (20) is configured for being removably attached to the container (12). A support system (24, 26, 28) is provided which encircles the nozzle (14) for removably supporting a plurality of tablets (32, 34, 36) with the support being disposed beneath the cap means (20) when the cap means (20) is attached to the container (12). In addition, instructional materials are incorporated into the cartonless packaging system, and thus no separate packaging materials are necessary for providing the separate elements to the consumer.
Abstract:
A disposable cup (1) is provided which includes a membrane (7) secured over the mouth (5) of the cup (1) in a manner which hermetically seals the interior of the cup (1). The membrane (7) provides evidence of tampering if dislodged from the cup (1). The cup contains a potable liquid, which may be frozen in the cup to facilitate cooling of a beverage poured into the cup after the membrane (7) has been removed. A socket (20) extends inwardly into the cup (1) from a bottom surface thereof and is shaped to receive an end of a beverage container (26).
Abstract:
A liquid dispenser comprising a dispensing portion (16) integral with a storage portion (14), wherein the storage portion is releasably securable to a surface of a water container (12) of a water unit (10). The storage portion is suitably configured to enable its engagement with the water container by means of a snap-fit, alternately a slide-fit tongue and groove formation; an adhesive compound; or the suspension of storage portion from a top flange of the water container. The storage portion may comprise a resiliency depressible formation (30), which when depressed causes liquid to be dispensed from a dispensing portion.
Abstract:
A container (10) has mounting means (35) for enabling it to be mounted temporarily on another article (50) so that the container (10) and article (50) can be stably transported together with their respective contents held separately. The mounting means (35) are adapted to support the weight of the article (50), allowing the container to be used to carry the container/article combination. However, the container (10) may be removed from the article (50) relatively easily via the application of axial force, with slight twisting motion, if necessary.

Abstract:
A bottle adapter (10) includes a connector (11) having a containment region for holding a composition and an internal threaded portion (14) that engages threads on a bottle neck (62) and has an opening in fluid communication with the containment region. An upper end of the connector has an aperture (23) that is in fluid communication with the containment region. The adapter also includes a first seal (27) for sealing an opening in the threaded portion and a second seal (28) for sealing the aperture. In use a removal of the first seal permits fluid communication between the containment region and the fluid in the bottle, permitting formation of a mixture. A removal of the second seal permits the mixture to be dispensed. Methods for storing a composition for subsequent mixing with a fluid and for delivering a mixture of a composition and a fluid are also addressed.
