A two-component reactive dispensing system that is pliable is comprised of an outer sausage tubular member having therein an inner sausage tubular member in which the inner tubular member is bonded to the inner surface of the outer sausage tubular member longitudinally along a portion of the outer surface of the inner tubular sausage member. The compartments formed by the inner and outer tubular sausage members are filled with materials that are reactive with each other and the ends are sealed by gathering the ends and sealed using, for example wire wrap around clips.

The invention relates to improvements in containers, and in particular to improvements in containers for preparing and dispensing foamable beverage and food products. A filled package for the preparation of a foamed beverage or food product from a liquid primary ingredient and air comprises at least one wall defining a chamber containing the primary ingredient, an outlet for dispensing the prepared product and air inlet means for selectively enabling the ingress of air into the chamber. The package is resiliently deformable between an initial compressed position in which air is substantially evacuated from the package and an expanded position, such that when the ingress of air is enabled the package recovers from the compressed position to its normal position sucking air into the chamber thereby mixing with the primary ingredient.

Die weiteren Behälter (26) sind mit den Substanzen (28) gefüllte, zerplatzbare Luftpolster (26) einer innerhalb des ersten Behälters (10) angeordneten Luftpolsterfolie (24). Die Substanzen (28) können dem Füllgut (22) des ersten Behälters (10) ohne Öffnung des Behälters (10) beigemischt werden.

The invention relates to a method for smoking and for packaging a product to be smoked, comprising: packaging (52, 54) the product to be smoked in a smoke-tight packaging and distributing (56) the product thus packaged to the consumers; packaging (60, 62) smoke in a pod containing exactly the amount of smoke required to smoke the packaged product and distributing (64) the pod containing the smoke to the consumer; and feeding (68) the smoke contained in the pod inside the packaging containing the product to be smoked such that the packaging keeps the smoke in contact with the product for the time required to smoke said product.

A pouch for internal mixture of segregated reactants includes an outer containment envelope with a sealed reactant compartment inside. A middle shear strip and two outer strips, together defining two shear lines, are connected to the reactant compartment. The outer strips are folded under the reactant compartment with their tips anchored to the containment envelope. The middle strip extends away from the reactant compartment and through a slit in the containment envelope. Pulling on the middle strip causes the shear lines to lengthen until the reactant compartment is shorn open to release a reactant. A permeable second reactant compartment containing a second reactant may also be disposed inside the containment envelope, and may include a slit through which the middle strip passes. The reaction in the pouch may be exothermic and the pouch may be applied to any object to be heated such as a wet wipes dispenser.

A container for a liquid-based food item and a packaged liquid-based food item, such as a soup. A container includes an outer member and an inner dividing member that is positioned inside the outer member to define inner and outer cavities. A liquid, such as water or broth, and one or more seasonings are placed in the inner cavity. Particulates, such as meat and vegetable particulates and, if necessary, water, are placed in the outer cavity. Seasonings are separated from particulates, and the seasoning does not diffuse into the particulates. Thus, the tastes of the individual ingredients are maintained. A sealing member extends across a tops of the inner and outer members to close the package. When the sealing member is removed to open the package, the water or broth with the seasoning, and the particulates and any water can be poured from their respective cavities in a single motion. By reducing or eliminating diffusion of seasonings into particulates, reduced quantities of salt and other seasonings can be added to processed soup products and allows salt and other seasonings to be added just prior to cooking, providing more natural flavor. Separating broth and particulates within a container can also reduce sterilization times.
