L'invention concerne une machine de collecte et de tri de déchets comprenant un bâti (2) comportant une base (3) reposant sur le sol et une face avant (5) dans laquelle est pratiquée une ouverture (7) permettant d'accéder à une zone d'introduction (8) des déchets, la machine comportant en outre à l'intérieur du bâti (2), des moyens de reconnaissance des déchets (50), un trieur de déchets (40 et des moyens de stockage des déchets triés (20, 23) comprenant au moins deux conteneurs (20), la machine comportant : un élévateur (15) pour transporter un déchet introduit dans la zone d'introduction (8) vers le trieur (40) disposé à l'aplomb de la zone d'introduction (8) et, le trieur de déchets (40) étant agencé pour déplacer le déchet transporté à l'aplomb d'un conteneur (20) choisi en fonction d'une information fournie par les moyens de reconnaissance (50) des déchets dans lequel le déchet est reçu. La machine peut également comporter des moyens de compactage des déchets.

A spent gum waste container (1, 50) comprises a housing (2) having a top wall (3) with an opening defining a spent gum inlet (4). A ramp (10) of no stick material such as Teflon or PTFE and of curvilinear shape leads spent gum into a receptacle (11). The receptacle (11) is of disposable fire resistant material such as foil. The spent gum container (11) may be mounted by a bracket (30) to a support such as a post (27). Alternatively a spent gum waste container (50) is mounted to a stand (55) which in turn is secured to a ground engaging mounting sleeve (56).

A device for the treatment and separate collection of waste of different nature comprising a treatment unit (10) for receiving and treating waste, said treatment unit (10) having one or more housings (11) to locate at least one shredding means (60; 70) adapted to shred waste of a certain nature; a collection unit (20) coupled to and communicating with the treatment unit (10) via at least one opening (21) to receive the treated waste leaving said opening (21) and insert it in at least one container (22) made of a material similar or equal to the treated waste material, the collection unit (20) comprising a movable support means (23) for supporting the container (22) inside a location area (24) and positioning said container (22) at the opening (21); and a management and control unit (30) for managing and controlling the operation of the shredding means (60; 70) and the movement of the support means (23) according to the nature of the waste treated by the treatment unit (10).

An apparatus (1) to process used materials for input into a manufacturing process. The apparatus includes a housing (10) having a top surface (15) and providing a plurality of chambers arranged in descending order. A series of locations (20) are positioned under said top surface and through which used materials are to pass. Each said location being provided for receipt of a predetermined used material. A descending path (25) extends from each said location and provides for the transfer of used material from the respective location successively through the chambers. The chambers include a sensing chamber (30) downstream of said locations and having sensing means (35) operable to sense the composition of used material located within said sensing chamber. The sensing means being operable to activate an alarm if the used material has been placed by a user in an opening for receipt of a different material. A washing/drying chamber (40) downstream of said locations and having means (45) operable to wash and dry used material located within said washing/drying chamber. A processing chamber (50) downstream of said washing/drying chamber and having a processing device (55) operable to reduce the size of used material located within said processing chamber and a storage chamber (60) downstream of said processing chamber and having a series of storage units (65) for receipt of different used material once processed by the apparatus (1).

The invention relates to a device (1) for crushing solid and substantially dry household waste (2) with a housing (3) suitable for integrating into a piece of kitchen equipment and/or for setting up in a kitchen. A crushing unit (10) comprising at least one feed opening (14, 14') for the household waste (2) to be crushed, a plurality of rotatable crushing means (12) and a collecting unit (17) comprising at least one collecting receptacle (18) for the household waste (2) to be crushed are accommodated inside the housing (3). The invention is characterised in that the at least one feed opening (14) is accessible via a front side of the housing (3) and the household waste (2) to be crushed can be fed in from the front in a substantially horizontal direction, and in that at least one part of the collecting unit (17) and/or one part of the housing (3) can be moved out of the housing (3) towards the front, making the at least one collecting receptacle (18) accessible from the front side of the housing (3). The result is a crushing device (1) which can be used in a particularly simple and efficient manner.

The third sidewall portion defines an access door with upper (20) and lower (21) inlet openings through which a user inserts plastics bottles for recycling. Upper (22) and lower (23) containers having respective inlet openings (24, 25) are removably located with the housing for receiving the bottles. The first sidewall includes a left to right scrolling sign (50) and the second sidewall has a display sign (60).

An apparatus for collecting and compacting recyclable plastic beakers (11), plastic bottles (12) and tins (13), includes, contained in a box-like case (2), a first device (100) for collecting and compacting plastic beakers (11) and a second device (300) for collecting and compacting plastic bottles (12) and tins (13). Plastic beakers (11), introduced into the apparatus through a first opening (4a) made in the case (2), are taken over by a mechanism (115) with a plurality of ring-like members (117) which take the beakers to a tubular conveying trough (120). The trough moves to a position which allows a stack of beakers (11) being formed. A presser means (123) enters the trough (120) and compacts the beakers (11) which are then discharged below into a collecting receptacle (40). Plastic bottles (12) and tins (13) are introduced into the apparatus through a further opening (5a) and fall into a channel tube (15) which leads them to a tubular guide (16) pivoted at the bottom so as to move to a retracted position in which the tin (11) or plastic bottle (12) is compacted by a presser (23). The plastic bottle (12) or tin (13) is discharged from the tubular guide (16) into respective further collecting receptacles (41, 42). Electronic control and display means (330) determine operative sequences of the apparatus (1) and display working and status information thereof.

The invention relates to a hydraulic compactor configured to be fastened to the cover structure of an underground collection container, for compacting waste materials. The hydraulic compactor comprises a filling opening equipped with a hatch, via which the waste material may be entered into a compressing space inside the compactor, a press member being provided above the compressing space and being movable in the vertical direction inside the compactor. The press member presses the waste material fed into the compressing space against the bottom plate of the compactor. The bottom plate of the compactor is a hydraulic bottom plate opening in the horizontal direction, via which the waste material compressed in the compressing space is dropped into the underground collection container. The invention also relates to an underground collection container comprising a compactor.

A garbage container (10) that can be closed with a lid (12) is useful for collecting emptied cans (32). The container is made of plastic and is mobile. In the lid (12) is arranged a press (20) for reducing the volume of the cans (21) to a small fraction thereof. The garbage container is used in particular for collecting and compressing aluminium cans, tinplate cans and/or PET-bottles.
