Abstract:
Abstract:
A photocatalytic powdered water based paint is described comprising photocatalytic binding cement, inert micronized limestone, low viscosity cellulose, fluidifying agent, anti-foaming agent, vinyl polymer and pigments. The water based paint is characterized by the fact of comprising at least one and preferably all the following further additives: metakaolin, titanium dioxide, calcium formate and kieselguhr.
Abstract:
An additive composition for mortars, exterior insulation finish systems, self-leveling compounds and joint compounds is disclosed. The additive composition contains a nitrogen-containing polymer and a reactive agent capable of forming a crosslinking reaction with the nitrogen-containing polymer. Small amounts of the additive composition contained in a product cannot only increase one or more properties of the product but can also minimize the use of redispersible polymers in the product.
Abstract:
The invention provides a non-efflorescing cementitious mortar composition, free of reactive silica material, in the form of a dry-mortar composition or an aqueous mortar composition, comprising a) from 1% by weight to 10% by weight of ordinary portland cement, based on the dry weight of the cementitious mortar composition b) from 1% by weight to 30% by weight of calcium aluminate cement, based on the dry weight of the cementitious mortar composition c) from 1% by weight to 15% by weight of calcium sulfate, based on the dry weight of the cementitious mortar composition and d) from 0.5% by weight to 30% by weight, based on the dry weight of the cementitious mortar composition, of an aqueous polymer dispersion or a water-redispersible polymer powder of polymers based on one or more monomers from the group consisting of vinyl esters, (meth)acrylates, vinyl aromatics, olefins, 1,3-dienes and vinyl halides and, if required, further monomers copolymerizable therewith.

Abstract:
The present invention relates to primer compositions in powder form that comprise a dispersion powder based on an acrylate polymer having a glass transition temperature in the range from −50°C to +30°C and cement. The compositions of the invention are notable for good water barrier effect, good dust-binding capacity, and a low tendency toward salt efflorescence. The compositions find use in the priming of masonry, concrete, rendered surfaces, abraded render, plaster surfaces, wall blocks, wood, and ceramic tiles. They can also be used as adhesion promoters with nonabsorbent substrates such as glazed ceramic or glass tiles, metal surfaces, or surfaces of plastic.
Abstract:
A photocatalytic composition comprising: (a) at least one aerial binder; (b) at least one photocatalyst; (c) at least one cellulose ether; (d) at least one fluidizing agent; (e) at least one pumice in the form of micronized powder; (f) at least one barite in the form of micronized powder. This composition can be used as water-based paint for preparing wall coatings having a very low thickness, in particular for interior applications, which guarantee a high photocatalytic effect and stable with time, even with relatively low quantities of photocatalyst, normally lower than 10% by weight. This coating also has marked inhibitory properties with respect to the growth of mold and bacteria on wall surfaces.
