A method of cementing a wellbore penetrating a subterranean formation comprises blending a base cement slurry with one or more liquid additives to provide a cementing composition, the base cement slurry comprising a liquid carrier, a class G cement or a blend of class G and class C cements as defined by the American Petroleum Institute (API) Specification 10A standards (R2015), and silica fume, or fumed silica, or a combination of silica fume and fumed silica, the base cement slurry having a density of about 14 to about 16 ppg; and injecting the cementing composition into the wellbore. The single base cement slurry can be used globally to make cementing compositions having wide ranges of density and temperature stability.

As it is known, the concrete is characterized with a gray color, and its high density causes the light to pass through it, making it impossible to separate individuals, colors and figure behind the concrete. ELASTICON concrete is characterized with better and higher strength properties than standard concrete, but also has a much lower density than that, both used as a structural (according to ASTM C330-82a standard) and non- structural concrete on architectural ap¬ plication. Of course, it's worthy to note that the mixture of this concrete is different from ordinary concrete, because the main advantage of this concrete is transparency, which, in addition to passing light through a variety of colors, a halo of people or objects might be seen behind it.

There is provided a fiber-reinforced brittle matrix composite. The fiber-reinforced brittle matrix composite comprises a brittle matrix material (for example, a cementitious or ceramics material) and a coated fiber embedded in the brittle matrix material, wherein the coated fiber comprises a fiber (for example, polyethylene fiber, glass fiber, silicon carbide fiber, alumina fiber, mullite fiber) and a coating material (for example, carbon nanofibers, carbon nanotubes), which is non-covalently disposed on the fiber. A method for producing the fiber-reinforced brittle matrix composite is also provided. The method comprises providing a fiber, disposing a coating material on the fiber to form a coated fiber, wherein the coating material is non-covalently disposed on the fiber, and embedding the coated fiber in a brittle matrix material to obtain the fiber-reinforced brittle matrix composite.

A cementitious composition includes (i) white Portland cement having a Blaine fineness between about 350 m 2 /kg and about 550 m 2 /kg, a D90 between about 11 µm and about 50 µm, and a total combined iron oxide, manganese oxide, and chromium oxide content of less than 1.0% by weight and (ii) a light color ground granulated blast furnace slag (GGBFS) having a Blaine fineness greater than the Blaine fineness of the white Portland cement, a D90 less than the D90 of the white Portland cement, and a total combined iron oxide, manganese oxide, and chromium oxide content of less than 2.0% by weight. The cementitious composition may optionally include at least one of additional SCM, aggregate, fibers, or admixture. The cementitious composition can be a dry blend, a fresh cementitious mixture, or hardened cementitious composition. The cementitious composition can be precast concrete, stucco, GFRC, UHPC or SCC.
