Abstract:
The present invention is in the field of an improved method for recovery of phosphorous, in particular of phospho¬ rous from a waste stream, and to a product obtained thereby. The product is in a form wherein phosphorous can be released to e.g. the soil and plants at a desired amount per interval of time.
Abstract:
Compositions and methods for the delivery of organic nitrogen and phosphorus to plants are disclosed wherein the organic nitrogen comprises an effective amount of a non-genetically modified hydrolyzed plant protein and the phosphorus comprises phytic acid. The compositions may be applied as a foliar spray or dust to the plant or to soil or water surrounding the plant.
Abstract:
Abstract:
A dry flowable additive for aqueous urea-based fertilizers made of solid urea formaldehyde polymer (UFP), N-(n-butyl) thiophosphoric triamide (NBPT), and, optionally, dicyandiamide (DCD), wherein the liquid fertilizer containing the additive provides reduced nitrogen loss from the soil. Optionally, the dry additive may also be blended with molten or solid urea to form a solid urea-based fertilizer with reduced nitrogen loss from the soil.
Abstract:
The invention relates to the combined use of (a) phosphorus compounds with at least partially lipophilic organic radicals and (b) urea and/or urea derivatives in selected proportions of (a):(b) as soil additives for biological control of phytoparasitic earth nematodes by increasing the correspondingly antagonistic potential of the soil, especially by promoting the growth of antagonistic and/or netamaticidal rhizospheric bacteria and/or corresponding mycorrhiza strains, while at the same time strengthening the growth of autochtonal plants. Preferably, the substance mixtures promoting bacterial growth are introduced into the root area of the plants in the form of an aqueous preparation in combination with phytocompatible emulsifiers before and/or during the raising of said plants. The components of subclasses (a) and (b) are used in such proportions that the weight ratio of C to N does not exceed 6 and is preferably 5.

Abstract:
The present invention relates to microbial inoculants, fertiliser compositions, growth mediums and methods for enhancing plant growth. In one aspect, the invention relates to a method of increasing plant growth, plant productivity, seed germination or soil quality for a dicotyledonous plant or a monocotyledonous plant, the method comprising the step of: applying to the plant a treatment agent comprising at least one plant-beneficial Burkholderia -like species.
Abstract:
An improved composition comprising substantial spherical UFP particles and an active agent, such as NBPT, and optionally other components is used as an additive for liquid and solid fertilizers, typically containing urea. Methods of making the compositions and their use are also disclosed.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for processing glycerol into one or more products and uses thereof are provided. In one or more embodiments, a method for treating soil can include applying a partially oxidized reaction product to a soil. The partially oxidized reaction product can be prepared by decreasing a pH of a mixture that includes glycerol and fatty acids to produce a mixture that includes a glycerol-rich portion and a fatty acids-rich portion. The glycerol-rich portion can be reacted with at least one of an oxidant and a catalyst at conditions sufficient to produce the partially oxidized reaction product.
