The present invention provides an apparatus for electrodialytic extraction of phosphorus from a particulate material comprising acidic and/or alkaline soluble phosphorus compounds, in suspension, comprising: • a first electrodialytic cell comprising a first anolyte compartment comprising a first anolyte, and a first catholyte compartment comprising a first catholyte, wherein the compartments of the first cell are separated by a cation exchange membrane, wherein the first anolyte is the particulate material in suspension, the first electrodialytic cell configured for exposing the particulate material to acidic conditions; • a second electrodialytic cell comprising a second anolyte compartment comprising a second anolyte, and a second catholyte compartment comprising a second catholyte, wherein the compartments of the second cell are separated by an anion exchange membrane, the second electrodialytic cell configured for exposing the particulate material to alkaline conditions; and • filtration means in fluid communication with the first and second electrodialytic cells, and configured to filter the first anolyte, and transfer the residual into the second catholyte compartment to be comprised in the second catholyte, and transfer the filtrate into the second anolyte compartment to be comprised in the second anolyte.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a homogeneous, solid, particulate, urea ammonium sul¬ phate-based composition comprising urea ammonium sulphate and a urease inhibitor of the type phosphoric triamide, wherein the urea ammonium sulphate- based composition is further characterized in that one or more of the following measures applies : a) it comprises 5 weight% or less, relative to the total weight of the composition, of one or more alkaline or alkaline-forming inorganic or organic compounds that is able to interact with ammonium sulphate; b) the urease inhibitor of the type phosphoric triamide is in a solid particulate form; c) an anticaking and/or moisture repellent coating is applied onto the urea am¬ monium sulphate particulate material. The composition according to the invention has improved properties for reducing ammonia loss by urease activity in the soil and is in particular suitable as a ferti¬ lizer. The invention further relates to a method for the manufacture of a homogeneous, solid, particulate urea ammonium sulphate-based composition comprising urea, ammonium sulphate and a urease inhibitor of the type phosphoric triamide, in particular N-(n-butyl) thiophosphoric triamide (nBTPT), as well as to a composi¬ tion of kit of parts comprising : a) one or more alkaline or alkaline-forming inorganic compounds that is able to interact with ammonium sulphate; b) the urease inhibitor of the type phosphoric triamide in solid particulate or liquid form, preferably wherein the urease inhibitor is N-(n-butyl) thiophosphoric tri¬ amide (nBTPT); c) optionally, one or more anticaking and/or moisture repellent compounds.
Abstract:
A base product fluid is produced by adding anhydrous liquid ammonia and a first portion of sulfuric acid to water in a process line to form a mixed fluid. The mixed fluid may be cooled and a second portion of sulfuric acid may be added to the mixed fluid to form the base product fluid. The base product fluid may include a molecular compound that is a chelating compound. The molecular compound may have the formula: ((NH 4 ) 2 SO 4 )a ⋅ (H2SO4)b ⋅ (H 2 O)c ⋅ (NH 4 HSO 4 )x. In the formula, a may be between 1 and 5, b may be between 1 and 5, c may be between 1 and 5, and x may be between 1 and 10.

Abstract:
Coal-derived mineral matter particles are an effective soil amendment. Coal-derived mineral matter particles added to soil increase the silt and clay fractions of the soil and improve the soil texture. The fine coal-derived mineral matter particles also increase mineral and essential nutrient availability for plant growth. Improved soil texture also increases water holding capacity and cation-exchange capacity (CEC) of the soil. The mineral matter particles typically have a size less than 50 µm and an average size of 10 µm or less. In some non-limiting embodiments, the mineral matter particles mixed with the soil are present in the mixture in an amount ranging from 5 to 30 wt. %. The coal-derived mineral matter particles contain a plurality of essential nutrients necessary for healthy plant growth selected from B, Ca, Cl, Cu, Fe, Mg, Mn, Mo, N, P, K, S, and Zn.
Abstract:
The invention relates to liquid and solid soil auxiliary substances on the basis of humic and fulvic acid and on the basis of organic substances, preferably with a proportion of soluble humic and fulvic acid from brown coals and fresh fermentation residues, hay, straw, as well as hydrogels and absorbers, powdered rock and clay minerals, and a method for producing such soil auxiliary substances. The products described in the invention can immediately be used for revitalizing soils. The interactions and synergies of the described materials in use promote the soil formation and shorten the period of time of healing in degraded, low-humus soils and substrates. The invention actively supports the formation of the natural functions of a soil. The application is easy to use and the action is not lost even under extreme environmental conditions.
