Abstract:
The present invention relates to a halogenated polymer composite composition that encapsulates a mineral filler. In particular the present invention relates to a polymercomposite composition comprising at least one halogen containing polymer and at least one mineral filler, characterized that the halogen containing polymer and the mineral filler are both in form of a dispersion in aqueous phase during the mixing of the halogen containing polymer and the mineral filler. More particularly the present invention relates to a manufacturing method for a polymercomposite composition comprising the steps of mixing of at least one halogen containing polymer with at least one mineral filler and drying the mixture of previous step wherein the halogen containing polymer and the mineral filler in step are in form of a dispersion in aqueous phase.
Abstract:
Compositions containing a turpentine liquid and methods are disclosed for dissolving, dissolving via melting, selectively dissolving via melting, decomposing plastic comprising a chlorine-containing polymer or thermosetting polymer, and/or co-dissolving plastic with fossil fuel for purifying, separating, recovering or recycling plastic-containing material.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an anti-static multi-functional layer for finishing and coating substrates and for introducing the polymer/particle composites contained in the multi-functional layer into substrates. Said layer has a polymer matrix containing at least one polymer compound and at least one non-metallic particle type and/or a metallically conductive particle type in combination with a metallic electrolyte. The particle combination is encapsulated by a coating matrix, thus forming a multi-functional layer. A virtually continual discharge of the static charge that occurs is guaranteed by the electrochemical reaction taking place in said layer and produces a charge neutralisation. The invention describes several methods, in which the anti-static multi-functional layer is used, for example to finish textiles, to coat plastic film and coverings and to introduce the polymer/particle composites contained in the multi-functional layer into a plastic.
Abstract:
Process for the treatment of a mixture of ABS (acrylonitrile-butadiene- styrene terpolymer) and of PS (polystyrene), according to which the said mixture is brought into contact with a liquid medium comprising water and a water-miscible common solvent in proportions and under pressure and temperature conditions such that the ABS is soluble therein and the PS insoluble.

Abstract:
The invention concerns a method for grafting a monomer on a polymer film which consists in contacting the film with a liquid solution of the monomer, by applying at least said film on a cellular sheet whereof the cells have been filled with said monomer solution.
Abstract:
Anion-exchanging moulded bodies and a method of manufacturing the same. The aim is to find anion-exchangers which can be produced in any shape simply, cheaply and reproducibly, without the use of carcinogenic chloromethyl ethers. It has been established that halogenated polyethers, preferably epichlorhydrin polymers, can be treated with tertiary amines together with inert polymers to produce such anion-exchanging moulded bodies by a phase-inversion process or evaporation of the solvent. These moulded bodies can be in the form of blocks, balls or films.
Abstract:
A film for packaging a pharmaceutical active agent-containing product includes a product-contacting sealing layer that does not scalp the pharmaceutical active product. The product contacting layer includes at least 90 wt. % of a CTFE-VDF copolymer. The pharmaceutical active agent can be nicotine. The product can be a transdermal patch.
