Described are articles containing a coating comprising a fluorine and silicon containing polymer, with a reactive diluent, and optionally non-reactive oligomeric additives, crosslinkers, or inorganic particles, which provides with a good balance of adhesion, mechanical properties, scratch resistance, low surface energy, repellency, and transparency. The articles are useful as a topcoat, particularly in optical applications.

Provided is a dendrimer particle having a unit that contains a fluorine atom at a plurality of branch ends of an aliphatic branched polymer (dendrimer). Further, the dendrimer particle is produced using an atom transfer radical polymerization method or the like. Thus, an F-MRI contrast medium, dendrimer particles with high contrast sensitivity and a rigorously controlled size and a method of manufacturing the same are provided.

Provided is a thermoplastic polycarbonate resin composition. The resin composition contains (A) 83 to 93% by weight of a polycarbonate resin, (B) 6 to 17% by weight of aromatic phosphate, and (C) 0.08 to 0.3% by weight of fluoroolefin. The resin composition exhibits excellent infrared transmissivity and flame retardancy.

Liquid curable perfluoropolyether (PFPE) materials are provided for use as coatings, sealants, flexible fillers, and structural parts for a wide variety of medical and cosmetic applications, particularly where silicone has been utilized conventionally. The PFPE material is oxygen permeable and bacterial impermeable and may contain one or more pharmacological agents elutably trapped therewithin for delivery within the body of a subject.

The present invention enhances conductivity, ion transfer speed, high-density conductivity, adhering and adhesion properties, durability, and high-speed responsiveness. Provided is a conductive material which contains a conductive polymeric composition (X1) in a polymer or copolymer (X2) in an amount of 5–90 weight% relative to the total amount of (X1) and (X2). The conductive polymeric composition (X1) is obtained by graft polymerization, living radical polymerization, or copolymerization of 2–90 mol% of a molten salt monomer which has a salt structure comprising onium cations and fluorine-containing anions and is provided with a polymerizable functional group, in a fluorine polymer, a vinyl acetal resin, a cellulose polymer having a hydroxyl group or a carboxyl group, or a rubber having a polar group. The polymer or copolymer (X2) is obtained from a molten salt monomer which has a salt structure comprising onium cations and fluorine-containing anions and is provided with a polymerizable functional group.
