    摘要: A method is provided for reprocessing a petroleum-based waste oil feedstock into diesel fuel. The method includes forming a treated feedstock by (a) filtering the feedstock, thereby removing solids and metals from the feedstock, and (b) dehydrating the feedstock; vaporizing the treated feedstock to produce an oil vapor; passing the oil vapor through at least one catalyst bed and subsequently through a cooler, thereby converting the oil vapor to a hydrocarbon liquid product with a diesel product boiling point range; and removing contaminants from the hydrocarbon liquid product, wherein the contaminants are selected from the group consisting of particulates and color precursors.

Systems include a high pressure production trap (HPPT), a low pressure production trap (LPPT), a low pressure degassing tank (LPDT), a first knockout drum (KOD) fluidly coupled to the LPDT and operable to accept an atmospheric pressure off-gas from the LPDT, an atmospheric pressure compressor fluidly coupled to the first KOD and operable to compress the atmospheric pressure off-gas to introduce the atmospheric pressure off-gas from the LPDT into the LPPT inlet feed stream, a second KOD fluidly coupled to the LPPT and operable to accept a low pressure off-gas from the LPPT, and a low pressure compressor fluidly coupled to the second KOD and operable to compress the low pressure off-gas to introduce the low pressure off-gas from the LPPT into the crude oil inlet feed stream.

    摘要: Techniques for dewatering thick fine tailings may include one or more pre-treatment steps, such as pre-shearing to reduce the yield stress prior to flocculation, hydrocarbon removal below a threshold to improve flocculation and dewatering, flocculant dosing on a clay basis, and providing certain properties of the thick fine tailings related to coarse and fine particle sizes and/or chemistry such as divalent cation content. Various advantages may result from pre-treatments based on thick fine tailings properties, such as reduced flocculant dosage requirements, improved dispersion of flocculant into the thick fine tailings and/or enhanced dewatering, for example. One or more of the pre-treatments may be performed.
