摘要:
The present invention provides compounds of formula (I): wherein W is independently selected from the group consisting of H, F, Cl, Br and I;10 X is independently selected from the group consisting of H, F, Cl, Br, I, CW 3 and OR on the basis that at least one X is OR; R is independently selected from the group consisting of C(O)(CH 2 ) m (CF 2 ) n Y and CW 2 C(CW 2 OC(O)(CH 2 )m(CF 2 )nY) 3 ; m is an integer from 0 to 2;15 n is an integer from 2 to 8; Y is C(Z) 3 ; and Z is independently selected from the group consisting of H, F, Cl, Br and I. Such compounds may be utilised as lubricants, for example in heat transfer compositions.
摘要:
The invention is directed to a zinc-free lubricating composition for an internal combustion engine containing a phosphorus anti-wear agent, an ashless antioxidant, and an oxyalkylated phenol compound. The lubricating composition provides wear protection, deposit control, and improved acid control with reduced levels of metal-containing additives.

The present invention is directed to a composition comprising a synthetic ester having a fatty acid mixture including: oleic acid in amount of at least about 85 wt% of the fatty acid mixture; linoleic acid in an amount of about 3 wt% of the fatty acid mixture or less; and linolenic acid in an amount of about 0.5 wt% of the fatty acid mixture or less.
摘要:
A lubricant composition for a compression-ignition internal combustion engine comprises: (i) an amine as an ashless fuel additive having a total base number ("TBN") of from about 200 to about 600 mg KOH/g when tested according to ASTM D2896; and (ii) a detergent selected from metal sulfonates, phenates, salicylates, carboxylates, thiophosphonates, and combinations thereof. The lubricant composition has a TBN of from about 20 to about 130 mg KOH/g when tested according to ASTM D2896, The amine contributes greater than about 30% of the TBN of the lubricant composition. Further, a method of lubricating an internal combustion engine with the lubricant composition comprises the steps of injecting a fuel and the lubricant composition into a cylinder to form a mixture, and combusting the mixture via compression-ignition.

The invention provides a lubricating composition containing an oil of lubricating viscosity and a dispersant treated with copper reagent. The invention further relates to methods of lubricating an internal combustion engine by supplying the described lubricating composition to the internal combustion engine. The invention further relates to the use of a dispersant treated with copper to reduce deposits on the inner surfaces of engine components.

The invention provides a method of lubricating an end-pivot finger follower valve train lash adjuster of a passenger car compression ignition internal combustion engine having a reference mass not exceeding 2610 kg comprising supplying to the internal combustion engine a lubricating composition comprising an oil of lubricating viscosity 0.01 wt % to 3 wt % of a dispersant viscosity modifier, and 0.01 wt % to 3 wt % of a zinc free sulphur-containing antiwear agent, wherein the lubricating composition has a sulphur-content of less than 5000 ppm, a phosphorus content of 1000 ppm or less, and a sulphated ash content of (typically 3000 to 12,000 ppm).
摘要:
This disclosure is directed to an additive package for a lubricant composition that provides improved compatibility with fluoropolymer seals. The additive package comprises a seal compatibility additive. The disclosure is also directed to a lubricant composition comprising a base oil and a seal compatibility additive. The seal compatibility additive improves the compatibility with fluoropolymer seals of the resultant lubricant composition.
摘要:
The disclosed technology relates to additive packages for lubricating compositions in diesel and gasoline powered vehicles. In particular, the disclosed technology provides an additive package that can be added to a lubricating composition with oil of lubricating viscosity to improve at least one of (A) piston deposit, (B) piston cleanliness, (C) soot induced viscosity thickening, and (D) oxidation induced viscosity thickening.
