    摘要: Preservation of newly-extracted roe sacks of sturgeons for subsequent harvesting of roe and caviar production, wherein said preservation employs an oil derived from roe sack membrane normally discarded in conventional caviar production. Such preservation enables roe sacks with retained roe derived from farmed or wild sturgeon to be stored and transported whereby export can be considered. The same oil, or fatty acid-containing fractions thereof, may also find use in dietary compositions, e.g. pet foods.

    摘要: A method is provided for improving palm oil yields, said method comprising:• i) admixing an enzyme composition comprising cellulase activity and mannanase activity with a sludge; • ii) incubating the admixture for between 1 to 20 hours at a temperature of between 50 to 95°C; and • iii) separating the oil from other components of the admixture. Claims are directed also to a palm oil phase, a sludge phase or an aqueous phase obtainable by the method. Claims are also directed to a method for producing a fermentation product comprising fermenting a feedstock comprising said aqueous phase and recovering said fermentation product, such as alcohol, biofuel, an organic acid, an antibiotic, an antimicrobial, bioinsecticide, a solvent, and a polyhydroxyalkanoate.

    摘要: A method and device for extracting oil from food waste is disclosed. Food waste is introduced into an elongated cylinder that is immersed under hot water. A drive shaft is actuated that simultaneously presses the food waste against an interior wall and moves the food waste through the cylinder. The content of the cylinder is subjected to steam treatment using a steam inlet in the cylinder. The combination of hot water, steam treatment and pressing recovers a high content of oil from the food waste.

    摘要: Methods and composition are provided for recovering oil from an oil containing mixture or emulsion. The invention is particularly applicable for recovery of oil from corn in a corn to oil process. The process and compositions comprise a combination of two non-ionic surfactants i) and ii). The non-ionic surfactant i) is a non- ionic surfactant comprising a polyol derived from a sorbitol, a sorbitan, or isosorbide. The non-ionic surfactant ii) is an ester of a) polyethylene glycol and b) a fatty acid. In accordance with the methods, the combination of surfactants i) and ii) is brought into contact with a process stream mixture existing in a corn to ethanol process.
