Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum kombinierten Zellaufschluss und Extraktion ölhaltiger Saaten mit einem Ölgehalt von > 30 Masse-%, wobei nach Herstellen einer Maische aus den Ölsaaten und Ethanol eine Kombination des Zellaufschlusses mit einer nachfolgenden ethanolischen Extraktion erfolgt, wobei der kleinere Teil des in den Samenzellen der Ölsaat enthaltenen Öls und der darin enthaltenen alkohollöslichen Inhaltstoffe entsprechend dem Lösungsvermögen des Ethanols für das Öl und der alkohollöslichen Inhaltsstoffe in das Ethanol übergehen und ein anderer größerer Teil des Öls durch das Ethanol aus den Samenzellen der Ölsaat verdrängt wird, wobei sich eine freie Ölphase im Ethanol ausbildet. Die freie Ölphase wird abgetrennt und weist erfindungsgemäß eine Halbraffinat-Qualität auf. Der dadurch reduzierte Raffinationsaufwand ist ein Ergebnis und ein Vorteil des erfindungsgemäßen Verfahrens.

Disclosed is a chromatographic process complex for the refining of krill oil extract including desalting, removal of impurities such as trimethylamine oxide (TMAO), and the production of krill oil products including desalted krill oil extract, polar lipid products having polar lipid contents greater than 50 wt-% on a dry or solvent free basis, neutral lipid streams for biodiesel production and astaxanthin. The refinery includes a continuous desalting zone, a fixed bed polar lipid extraction zone to adsorb neutral lipids and astaxanthin to provide a polar lipid extract stream comprising solvent and polar lipids and being essentially free of neutral lipids and astaxanthin, and an astaxanthin separation zone to recover essentially pure astaxanthin and provide a neutral lipid stream. The enriched products of the krill oil refinery are essentially free of TMAO and salt and provide products which can be used as dietary supplements and as medicinal additives.

Separating material with a boiling point greater than about 1200°F from the heavy oil fraction to produce partially purified oil fraction and residual fraction. Treating the partially purified oil fraction to separate it into purified oil fraction and contaminant fraction. Hydrogenating the contaminant fraction to remove predetermined compounds, further saturating the fraction and thereby creating a saturated oil fraction. Fractionating the saturated oil stream to produce one or more of naphtha fraction, diesel oil fraction and base oil fraction.

The present invention pertains to a process for refining of crude tall oil (CTO). The process comprises fractionation under vacuum of a refined CTO into at least one stream of refined tall diesel (RTD) or tall oil fatty acids (TOFA), the RTD or TOFA comprises from 2 - 30 % by volume of resin acids and from 20 - 90 % by volume of fatty acids, and at least one stream of resin acid(s) (RA) comprising less than 5 % by volume of fatty acids. The stream of RTD or TOFA is deoxygenated forming hydrocarbon compounds in a subsequent step. This invention also relates to a refined tall diesel. Furthermore, a process for the production of a refined tall diesel (RTD) composition, wherein crude sulphate turpentine(s) (CST) is added to the refined tall diesel (RTD) composition, is described.
