A structured soap composition contains, based on 100 parts by weight of said composition, (i) from greater than 0 to about 27 parts by weight of a neutralized fatty acid, (ii) from greater than 0 to about 18 parts by weight of one or more structurant selected from alkanolamide surfactants, fatty alcohols, alkoxylated fatty alcohols, fatty acids, and fatty acid esters, (iii) from 0 to about 15 parts by weight of one or more compounds selected from amphoteric surfactants and zwitterionic surfactants, provided that the total amount of components (i), (ii), and (iii) is greater than or equal to 5 parts by weight, (iv) an amount of electrolyte effective to, in combination with components (i), (ii), and (iii) provide a structured soap composition having an opaque visual appearance and exhibiting a yield strength of greater than 0 Pascals, and (v) water.
Abstract:
An iridescent continuous phase soap bar with an ordered layered microstructure containing soap, water and specific ethoxylated alcohols is described. The phenomena of continuousphase iridescence in a soap bar is characterised as blue hue which intensity depends on the viewing angle and on the background colourused for its observation by the user. In a preferred embodiment, the iridescent soap bar is prepared with mixing equipment capable of creating intensive mass shearing conditions and which generate high compression and extensional forces on the processed soap mass.

A composition is described having a first nonionic alkoxylated alcohol surfactant having an HLB value ranging from about 10 to about 15, a second nonionic alkoxylated alcohol surfactant having an HLB value ranging from about 16 to 20, an aqueous solvent, and optionally, a bio-film permeation agent. A total of the first surfactant and the second surfactant in the composition ranges from about 2 to about 20 percent by weight of a total weight of the composition, and a ratio of the second surfactant to the first surfactant in the composition ranges from about 2:1 to about 4:1. A method for treating contaminated surfaces of surgical waste management equipment is also described. The method includes rinsing surfaces of the equipment with water to remove water soluble contaminants and waste material. A rinse solution is applied to the surfaces of the equipment to provide a residual film thereon. The rinse solution includes a first nonionic alkoxylated alcohol surfactant having an HLB value ranging from about 10 to about 15, a second nonionic alkoxylated alcohol surfactant having an HLB value ranging from about 16 to 20, an aqueous solvent, and optionally, a bio-film permeation agent. A total of the first surfactant and the second surfactant in the composition ranges from about 2 to about 20 percent by weight of a total weight of the composition, and a ratio of the second surfactant to the first surfactant in the composition ranges from about 2:1 to about 4:1.

The present invention provides a paste-like cleaning or detergent composition comprising a) a surfactant component comprising a compound of the general formula R 1 -COOM (1), a fatty alcohol alkoxylate and/or an oxo alcohol alkoxylate with an average degree of alkoxylation at least 5; and optionally an anionic surfactant; b) a compound of the general formula R 2 -O-R 3 (II); c) water and/or a compound of the general formula X-CH 2 -(CHY) n -CH 2 -Z (III), provided that at least 2 hydroxyl groups are present; d) an alkalinity source, and e) one or more organic and/or anorganic builders on a non-silicate basis; wherein the composition essentially is free from graying inhibitors on a cellulose basis, silicates and phosphates. Moreover, the present invention relates to a method for washing textiles using said composition, wherein the waste water accumulated during the washing process may be purified by a membrane filtration unit comprising reverse osmosis steps.

A package product comprising an airtight container containing the moist wipes. The wipes are used for cleaning a hard surface. The liquid compositions comprising the Marseilles soap are also claimed.
